Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Soft ground discussion....but here it goes....I had pretty good success with the Siltech Royal Signature Golden Universal II USB. There are a few kicking around in the used market but even new it is almost "reasonable" in price. I am a big Shunyata Research fan so had it against the Omega and...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Hey guys long time lurker and future Taiko owner with a question. Not much of a network expert but with the preferred architecture above, is there any provision to maintain Roon distribution for non critical listening? Can Roon living on a Taiko Extreme "talk" to the other devices on the...

    Shunyata Grounding System

Nice setup and thanks for sharing. I couldn't help but to noticed the SSF under the Altaira. Are those the 38s or 50? Did you buy then on spec or heard a difference from the included footer? Last Q, do you use spade or BN in the Altaira? Any argument for either other than the convenience...

Music While Waiting For Godot (aka XDMS)

Impossible task to boil it down to only two songs...here are a few albums I really enjoy. Not yet an Extreme customer will get there. Ok sorry I got carried away, there are so many to enjoy. Great post and happy listening A

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

Mark Cole from Antipodes advised that the replacement fuse for the K50 are the 3.15A for 110v and 2A for 230v. So they are 5x20mm Slow-Blow Link here to Synergistic site I would rather not speculate on the Amp for the K40. I assume it is similar but best for you to check.

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

I have dedicated 20A circuits for the sources/amps, using Shunyata cables (combo Omega and Sigma v2) and an Everest. Connections are a bit hybrid and the setup is based on trial and error, testing and preference so kind of awkward but seems to work for me. Both the server and DAC are not...

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

Received my SR Purple yesterday, rushed home to install them felling like a late Christmas. Initially place them in the same orientation than the Orange they replaced in my K50 (before right side R->S left side S->R). Right away noticed a greater articulation with slightly more powerful bass...

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

Currently have been using the SR Orange for about a year. Took a while to break and warm up but I love it. The flavor is a bit more detailed and edgy. In comparison, the OEM sounds dull and muddy. I have a SR Purple on order. Will report back when it is installed.

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

On the K50, there is a set of Dip Switches under the case. Anyone has more details? I assume it is for the boot sequence and configuration but more details would be nice. Tks

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

I use the Isoacoustic Orea Indigo on my Modulum rack. It cleaned up lots of the edges and made the sound more relaxed. Placement makes a difference. Initially I place them under the existing footer but I experienced better result in placing them directly under the box. Still experimenting on...
