    Brick and Mortar Stores

When I moved to NYC in the early 2000's I walked by Sounds By Singer on my way to work daily. I loved to look at the equipment in the shop window. I picked up the courage to go inside and I bought an amp & pre amp from them. I felt treated like a cockroach as it was must not have been a...

" I never lied to you I always told you some version of the truth." Jack Nicholson

I agree, my problem with JV reviews are: 1/ You will have to wait for the next review to find out what are the real flaws of the model being reviewed. So while it all sounds impressive they are better considered as a paid infomercial from the manufacturer and not an objective review. 2/ I...

Einstein Silver Bullet OTL Mk. II Driving Wilson Audio Alexx

My friend and dealer Maier Shadi of the Audio Salon in Santa Monica installed Danny Kaey's system. Here is a short video with Danny talking about the process. TAS review Berning 211/845 amplifier

I've just recently got the Berning Pre One, mainly for its phono stage. I was using a Halcro DM10 which has a very good phono stage but preferred digital straight from dCS Vivaldi. Now I'm also listening to digital with the PreOne. I haven't compared the pre to a lot at home but I'm currently...

    TAS review Berning 211/845 amplifier

I have used Berning amps (and Pré amps) for almost 20 years now moving from an EA230 through ZH270 to QuadratureZ. I have never had reliability issues with any of his products. Tube life is 10-20 000 hours. David is a pleasure to work with, he modified one of my ZH 270's for Europe voltage and...

Who is interested in Multi Channel Roon ?

I recently heard well set up multichannel at both Peter Mc Grath's & Andrew Quint's homes. For classical music it adds so much depth that when playing the same music on a fantastic two channel system it almost sounds broken. Once you have heard it well done it is hard to forget. So Yes, Yes ...

    My Munich 2016 notes

I visited this room several times and agree that it sounded wonderful, what I heard was not overtly analytical like many room but simply music.
