I thought Jon killing Dany while perhaps predictable, was emotional. It started the events that wrapped up the series.

Slightly mixed. I didn't feel connected to their love. It was barely in character with the series. I think something more brutal should have happened. All the horrid deaths were by extras.

The whole series broke character a fair bit since nothing brutal happened with the characters we love... Theon doesn't qualify because he's been tortured so damn much, and no one really likes him that much anyway.

It lacked tension between main characters. I know it was "there" but it wasn't felt.

I never liked Dany, that's part of the issue for me. Believe me, I wish her death would have been more satisfying... I don't know why they spared us seeing Misunday death? Really I think I'd like to have seen the last dragon killed while she watched, now that'd be GOT style. Cersee was taken out too easily.

Totally agree. It was a soft ending and too many got off unscathed

I'm still not sure what to think of the ending, IMO too many unbelievable things happened to set the stage for the last couple of episodes that I just don't care that much. Maybe the books will be better...

Besides plot points like sailboats ambushing and successfully harpooning a dragon on their first volley, all by surprise etc... It's mostly Jon Snow and his relationship with Dany that seems unbelievable. His actions weren't that of a man in love, or a man with experience and intelligence.

I also have a hard time with Arya surviving, it doesn't seem in keeping with GOT, but that's not a big deal imo.

And I wonder about Drogon not chomping Jon in half, but maybe he wasn't so happy with bbqing King's Landing himself, who knows... Melting down the iron throne shows he may be pretty aware of what's going on.

Someone had mentioned in an earlier post that the dragons would not harm Jon because he is Targaryen. The proof was that he was allowed to ride one. I don’t remember hearing of that connection but perhaps it is in the books which I have not read.

There has been so much talk re GOT Series Finale that we took time to catch the HBO special

Game of Thrones-The Last Watch.

This really should be seen for many reasons but for me was how virtually every screen was created green screen which gave me even more respect for the director's vision n how every scene would be filmed

Definitely worth the 2 hours

As an aside poor Kit Harrington was checked into rehab for alcohol "overuse" as he wept when he read the final script and suddenly saw he kills Dany. He apparently had issues over the years of assuming the lead role in the series
