Don’t remind me. I was in boot camp when it happened, and they let us watch it on TV. Now it just reminds me I am 50 years older. :)

We should be exploring Pluto by now.

Today, July 20th marks exactly 50 years when Neil Armstrong put his first foot on the moon.
Then with his buddy Buzz Aldrin they proceed to walk and ride on it for approximately three hours.
They even perform some work; collecting rock samples, planting a flag, setting cameras, etc.

That's a big celebration's day.

It's quite possible. Given they still cannot make decent recordings and turntables to beat the vintage stuff, I wonder how they could land a man on the moon

On the other hand this article I highly recommend to everyone reading; if I can find great rewards in it, which I did, anyone here can also.

It is furthermore my opinion that fifty years ago the picture that struck me the most was the view of our own planet from the moon. Even in black and white. Our planet is incredibly beautiful, and the human race is perfect for it. The moon was nice to watch on TV and see two guys walked on it for few hours; it's the planet Earth viewed from it, on TV that inspired me. And over the years more and more and more.

Read the article from that link above; it is rewarding, to anyone, everyone.
To me, to Steve, to Ron, to Marc, to Tang, to Mike, to Peter, to Francisco, to Ked, to Jack, to all and every human being on our planet.
