Hi guys,

As the title suggests, need some advice or suggestions for internal wire upgrades for a speaker. I'm replacing some van den heul cs12/16 with dalby audio's new 320s silver/copper wire. Do the guages make any significant difference? I put in the dalby running for about 120hrs which is past the recommended break in time of 100 hours and I'm still not getting any low end. Tweeter sounds ok but the woofer performance is disappointing (ScanSpeak 6.5" classic series paper). Any help is appreciated as I'm newer to doing this kind of custom job.

Thanks.

Well, the Dalby 320s is AWG15, and the VdH CS12 is AWG12. That is a relatively large difference. In high efficiency loudspeakers AWG15 is often more than enough. In your case AWG15 could be on the thin side. Do you have enough 320 to double up the wire? That would give you an aggregate AWG of 12. That being said; the 320 is intended for interconnects. The 620 is for speakers.
