Three boxes from Greece - Tune Audio

Hi, Bonzo,
Zanden 6000.

I have never heard a push pull on the Anima. Over the next year get yourself an audition of some SETs at different wattage and see what you prefer. I have heard some class A SS including manisandher DIY first watt sound very good on it

Congratulations on tripling Greece's NX.

It would be neat if we could see the setup process ! :) I'm sure others are curious how they go together, what the underside looks like, that sorta thing.

Will do. T-A has no retailer in Belgium, so some good apostle will fly here next week to set it up with me. Will video the process.

Yes, I intend to find an alternate to the Zanden to play a bit. I had an eye on these since a while : https://www.vinylsavor.com/en/products/300b/

300B Single Ended Stereo Power Amplifier

8 Watts per channel
input sensitivity 2.4 V
interstage transformer coupled
input impedance 100 kOhm
SE (RCA) inputs
2 chassis (external power supply)
equipped with ELROG ER300B
6SN7 driver tube
14.000 € incl. 19% VAT

Kantx, you may want to reach out to WBF member Manisandher. He has a well sorted Animas setup.

I know he's toying w biamping. The bass in particular would benefit was his thinking.

Instead of looking for a great SET first, see if you can get some demos to check what level of drive they need. 2a3, 300b, 211, etc have different levels of drive.

Unfortunately, Thomas Mayer don't do demo. He suggested I flew to Lindau, which I could do, unless I won't have the 3 boxes in my cabin luggage, and testing outside home is no testing.

The smallest amp I have heard on them was a 15 watt Bakoon that did OK on them. PSE push pull 300Bs plus a push pull EL34 in the mid 20 watts and up also worked fine.

I’d love to hear what a good SE 211 amp would do with the animas.
