I have listened to all three Divin Brothers in HK.

All three are in the top league, but I like the Noblesse most.
I will open a thread and share with all of you my Noblesse audition experience very soon.

It is an incredible speaker and will work in a wide variety of rooms and with a wide selection of quality gear. I personally love this speaker it works so well in my soundroom. Can't wait to show it off at the shows when they start again. I believe people will be amazed!

Oliver builds different models for a reason. The reasons are people have different room sizes, budgets and demands. I think lots of people would love to own a Majestic or a Noblesse but don't have the financial ability or the space to put those speakers in. We had the Noblesse last year at 3 shows with large rooms and they really come to life and fill those spaces with ease. Our room at RMAF last year was a perfect example. Although the room was challenging from a noise and echo point of view the speakers in that space filled the room and completely disappeared. If we had a few more days and a bunch of room treatments would could have gotten the echo under control and it would have been other worldly. These are show conditions and sometime you just have to live with them since re purposing the room is just not feasible in the time you have available. no excuses just the facts. I have a much smaller room at my showroom. I have had all the speakers in that room with the exception of the Majestic which I have not bought for a few reasons . They all work well in the space however after seeing the capabilities of the Noblesse in a larger space I saw that there was much more I could get from them with a bit more area to work with. The Marquis however works perfectly in this size room and since most listeners don't have huge rooms this product will give them state of the current art sound at a manageable size and more affordable price point. This is very important in balancing out a system with all the other components required to get it right. If size and budget are not a problem then by all means go crazy and buy the Noblesse of the Majestic.
I am only trying to help people make a solid choice and one should realize that room dims and size is a factor in making a good speaker choice.
Good listening and thank you all for the kind words!

Listen Noblesse in Gobel room and is fantastic speaker but if I had money I would buy Aeon Reference because I love that flat driver working from 160 to 31.000 hz very transparent, homogeneous, natural dynamic and fast

I think this would be my choice as well. Having that broad range seamless driver without crossover in the critical region is an advantage, as i have learned with my big ribbons.

I don't believe there is a wrong choice here. I have clients that own both and they are all happy with their systems and their individual choices.
I think the room, musical preferences and gear owned or planned to own make a difference in the final decision however they all make beautiful music. I think Oliver is brilliant and that is why I got involved with the brand.

Hi Elliot,
Congrats on the Stereophle review! Nice to get well-deserved publicity. A question for you: I believe you are proponent of the (platonic) Absolute Sound philosophy that judges gear based on how "real" live, acoustic music sounds. Since both of the Göbel products are truly excellent, how would you go about recommending one or the other to someone who is also a proponent of that philosophy?

Have you heard both lines?
I did.
On paper, I admit that I would also prefer the cutting board speakers, but in real life, I vastly prefer the Divin series!

I was brought up with TAS and my mentors were HP, John Dahlquist, Arnie Nudel, Bill Z Johnson .
I make no secret of what I believe and what I think a system should sound like. I want it to sound like music...period
I also believe that most people have not heard a properly set up system and therefore are sometimes trying to fix what cant be fixed with gear alone.
Ok to answer your question
First I think I would need to know the room size, the equipment owned ( if they have it already, musical taste and of course budget.
As I said there is no wrong choice both series of speakers are truly excellent however the BW Epoque series are low efficiency and therefore require large amplifiers or multiple amplifiers to preform at their best. The Divin series are high efficiency speakers of 92db and above and can be used with a wider variety of amps including lower powered vacuum tubes.
I also think there is of course personal preference here and the person buying the speakers should listen and see which he prefers. I can tell yuou in my experience I get equal amounts of people that prefer one over the other. I own both lol so I get to listen to both but usually not in close tiome proximity as I am a perfectionist when I set things up so I don't like doing instant switch things to not properly set up speakers. This proves nothing to me except the system is not right. I think if you were to ask some of the people here who have heard all our products that they probably like one versus the other as well.
For example Mike L has heard all the speakers here and at shows. Marty has also been here and I am not sure of the shows. They may have different opinions than yours or mine but I know they like the speakers.

I personally listen to all kinds of music. I like rock, pop, country, jazz and large scale classical. I listen at realistic levels. That means I listen to music at the level it should be played at. Not lower or louder. I many times restart something after I am playing it because it is too loud or too low.
I also have room size constraints. . I know more today than I did a year ago about getting the most from all of our speakers. I can tell you that the Marquis set up in my listening room for the past few months are truly other worldly right now. I have spent a lot of time to learn them and how far I can take them. It is important for my company to let people see we make amazing speakers that are smaller and more affordable. So to finish this essay LOL if you are looking for a great pair of beautifully made speakers we have them as to which suits your taste I invite you to come listen.

my perspective on the two families of Gobel is that the Aeon Reference direction is the more ultimate unique approach. it takes ultra detail and carries that to a very advanced level, and requires a significant amplification and room commitment with it to be fully realized. since i've not had it side by side with other ultimate speakers it's hard to say that it goes farther, but it might.

maybe the big Tidal's are like this? obviously the M9 Magico likely too.

the Nobel family is a more conventional type musical balance and would fit in a wide variety of electronics and rooms.

the Aeon is the one that turns me on the most as it's ceiling is unknown. would have to live with it to say more. my time with it was special.

Thank you Mike. They are special and do require a serious commitment to bring them to the max. I have a client who has bi amped them with a full CH Precision set up including pre and phono all with X-1 supplies and a full Gobel Lacorde cable set up including PC and a great room. It doesn't get much better however as you said it is a very serious commitment.

We did show this at RMAF a few years ago. The room wasn't special but we did give it a try and I know you heard them single amped at my showroom a while back. I wish you could come again and see the new toys. I think you might like this as well. Oliver does an amazing job and capturing the soul of the music no matter which speaker you choose.
Stay safe

Purely based on whimsical theory, I have not heard them. The Divin series look much more formidable (just on looks alone).

When i visited Gobel company last november,i listen alone in his room Aeon Reference with and without sub petite Baforce cut at 30 hz from 16 to 19.30,and after dinner from 22 to 1 i listen Noblesse.
And i listen with CH that i own so was simple understand for me.
I like a lot both and doesn't understand which of 2 i would like to buy because are different sound but fantastic both.

But i have a special feeling for this flat driver and idea that go from 170 to 31.000 hz with a homogenous sound i think i will prefer this
