Just got back from a week of camping under the stars in Big Bend National Park.
This is Santa Elena Canyon on the Rio Grande.

The ever elusive, Guanaco, in Torres del Paine - Patagonia.

We were there! I might even recognize those peaks which certainly look like our photos of the area as well. What a beautiful part of the world. We went hiking the first day, and it was just before real winter set in (and snowed in)...but on that day, it snowed so much you could not see further than 10 feet, and it was FREEZING! But it was still beautiful. We climbed up to a bluff to get out of the wind, drank hot coffee and then made our way back.

The next day was clear as a bell, and the hike all the way to the Torres was stunning. Glad to have made it all the way there.

Yes - Patagonia was one of my favorite trips.
Here are The Horns, at the end of that long hike.....

Man...your photography is phenomenal. Absolutely spectacular. We have made some big 6' photos of our stuff out of thousands of photos taken around the world and put it up on the wall...and for us we prefer it to buying someone else's art because it means something to us (and it costs a lot less!) and there is thus a personal story to each of them...but your photos are genuinely spectacular with or without the authorship and the story behind them.

BTW, I am fully aware 90% of the photo is the hand, eye and mind of the photographer...not the camera. That said, I have seen some serious amateurs take some pretty amazing photos with great equipment. What equipment are you generally using in your photos? Most the bigger photos we have blown up were taken on a Nikon D7200, either the 70-200 f2.8, 17-55 f2.8 or Tokina 11-18 f/2.8.

BTW, my wife and prefer the images we get from the Tokina over the 17-55 f/2.8 Nikon. Any thoughts on that?
