Great photograph. Thank you for posting Bob. It looks like there are a lot of new diffusion panels on the side walls. I don’t remember those when I went to visit a number of years ago. It’s an incredible room and extremely quiet.

It’s very interesting to see those steel plates under the amps right on the floor. I like their approach to racks and platforms with the heavy steel mass loading.

Initial TAS article by Wayne Garcia, from TAS. Alon is now doing demos with the M9s so there will be additional articles available in the future.

I don’t see a turntable.
Is the listening room digital only?

A TT can be set up, just not one in the room at the moment.

Yeah, diamond-d-coated berrylium tweeters are something else, and the new aluminum honeycomb drivers are a welcome departure from the balsa-wood based current (and previous) generation. I also like the curvaceous cabinet structure. Cost will be a factor.

A little glimpse of Taiko Extreme>>>MSB Select II>>>Pilium Alexander>>>Magico MXO crossover>>>Piilium four Hercules monos>>>M9s

Wow! Do they even needs subs?

Btw, this should really enrage a lot of "Network Cable" haters and skeptics o_O

As I see MIT MAX SHD speaker interfaces and interconnectors in this State of the Art System.

@Rhapsody Please tell Alon he needs to upgrade to the ACC 268 Rev 2 :)

I"d love to see an M1 = Floor stander 2 way speaker with these new drivers.

I assume the eventual S Mark 3 line will get the new aluminum honeycomb mid-range from the M9 and A5.

A big endorsement for newcomer Piliium to adorn these speakers. Would love to spend some time with this system, however intimidating the experience may be.

In the September timeframe Rhapsody.Audio will have M9 systems driven with all Pilium electronics in our Brooklyn and Dallas Fort Worth locations, along with the M9/Pilium system at Magico. All are welcome to spend some time.

This video was taken quite a while ago. Alon is playing with all combinations of cables. Right now we are experimenting with VYDA all silver speaker cables and the silver/copper versions on the M9s. So far pretty much any of the cables that have been tried sound great.

Will let everyone know once we are set up and ready for guests. Looking forward to it!

At the new and upcoming Brooklyn Rhapsody.Audio location we will be using two Pilium Achilles stereo amps to drive the M9s. At the Dallas/Fort Worth Rhapsody we will also be using Pilium Achilles stereo amps.

The M9s require four channels of amplification. Either two stereo amps, four monos or one set of monos and one stereo amp.

While the M9 will undoubtedly be a great speaker, I seriously doubt Magico will sell very many. I forgot the price, but I remember it as being crazy high. Add in the fact each speaker requires two amps then the potential market is reduced even more. As the M9 technology trickles down into the real world then we will start seeing, hearing, and experiencing this technology.

The first production run of M9s is already sold out. We are now working on orders for the second production run of M9s with several demonstrations at Magico currently scheduled with customers looking at placing orders for the next M9 upcoming production run.

Between the Dallas RLR and Rhapsody.Audio's new Brooklyn location, along with the M9 system at the Magico factory. and both Rhapsody locations having M9s available for demonstration in the near future, we have five or six serious customers waiting for the M9s to be installed at the RLR locations to audition and possibly purchase.

Of course the M9s are not a mass production type product just as the top speakers from many other brands are not mass consumed, but you will be surprised in the future of how many M9s populate the planet earth. Stay tuned.

I guess in due time we will read about the design/technical decision to have a traditional pair of speakers.

Compared to the 4 tower flagships from other manufacturers.

Why not try a competitors top line cabling, the MasterBuilt. I've heard their best on the Ultra 11 and 9 Von Schweikert speakers. Maybe they are great for Magico as well.
