This is inevitable.
:(

I hope that MSB can further improve its Renderer.
Will optical isolation be implemented in the future Renderer V3?

Otherwise we have to pair MSB dac with better servers/streamers such as Extreme, Pink Faun, Innuos Statement ...etc

Can you elaborate, please?

MSB has stopped making their Ref and Select Transports.
I was told that their last Select Teansport had been sold as well.

CD players are becoming a niche product.

Yes, I know. My point is why do you say: “ Otherwise we have to pair MSB dac with better servers/streamers such as Extreme, Pink Faun, Innuos Statement ...etc “
I’ve always done that or, at least, with the best I considerer/tested and I could assemble in a first approach, and then with the best I could afford.
I think transports and servers are different paths to the reach the same objective.

Agreed. As good as the MSBs are, they are static and can’t evolve. I mean the ones that we’ve bought. As for the servers there’s always a continuous upgrading possibilities, as from my experience.

I have a back up transport for my player. If I wanted a new player, I would look at the Japanese manufacturers as they appear to have the best market for discs. Luxman, Accuphase, Teac and other small manufactures.

Don't discount the Audiomat Drive D1. Distributor firmly believes it outperforms the CEC transport, therefore it stopped carrying CEC in their lineup.

Nice to see companies still servicing the silver disc. I think Audionote UK has a big investment in transports and spare parts as well. I have more vinyl lp’s than discs, but i still listen to CD/SACD every week. I just ordered the latest Japanese CD/SACD version of Santana.

MSB transport sales may have declined, or the TEAC transports are now approaching obsolescence....still quite a few Japanese companies are making players year in and out with new models appearing such as Accuphase.
They decided a few years ago to produce their own CD turntable since OEM solutions had their shortcomings.
There are plenty of CDs in the marketplace, billions of them, one reason that vinyl does so well now is that there's some 70 years worth of music still about.
Perhaps the home CD player is now incorporated into cheap BD players which is a travesty and hobbles the output of what CD is capable of.
The novelty will come back one day.

I quite like to spin CD or SACD as well as vinyl and tend to sit through an album, computer audio isn't as relaxing compared to physical media.

I agree completely computer audio isn’t as relaxing.

Too bad MSB has stopped making transports. I intended it as my next and final move up the CD ladder. Looks like instead of a MSB DAC and CD, it will be Aqua DAC and CD.

At present, I own a Luxman D-08u. It is my main source of music. IMO it is better than streaming - more alive and better quality. And since we have spotty internet service (Century Link 940 mbps), much more dependable too! If I drop anything it will be streaming.

Other than Aqua Audio Diva+Formula, the Metronome AQWO Series is very nice too.

I find it more relaxing with no hardware manipulations and without any moving parts (except for me and my speakers) in the room.
