You should use vpn and listen to the other videos. Once you use the VPN it is quite easy
That doesn’t help me. I am not tech savvy and don’t know how to go from cell phone video to posted video. I need step by step instructions. Is there a WBF thread where this is explained?

are you in the US? 3 of the 5 videos I posted are not playing in the US due to song copyright (not sure why it happens on them and not the others, maybe because they are from russia lol). So, VPN is an utility you download by googling nordvpn or expressvpn, and installing it on your laptop. Once installed, it lets you connect from some other country so the IP address is not from US but from elsewhere. That will allow you to play those videos.

You don't need it for other videos. You can use it to watch inside no.9 on bbc iplayer if you use the vpn to connect from the UK. Easily the wittiest TV series

I'm in the USA and have not had any issues playing any of the videos posted at WBF. I'm trying to find out how to post a video of my system playing that I recorded on my iphone, to the WBF forum.

Ok. I don't know why some guys reported it.

To post your own, download the YouTube app. Create an account on YouTube. Once you click the app, and the + sign to add videos it is straightforward. If in doubt just go to YouTube and see how to upload a video on YouTube

Ked's recent videos are not available in the US. I did use a VPN to access them. PIA VPN sounds better than Nord VPN. JK.

And as a added bonus, after installing VPN, Putin will be able to turn your heating, lights and alarm system off and on. Zuckerberg already knows who you are dating, what food you like and who you vote for. It's a fair and balanced world !o_O

More music. I just found this in a collection I inherited from either my parents or my grandfather. London Decca CS 6462. It was a young Zubin Mehta’s first recording for London Decca. 1962, the year I was born. Apparently there was a critic in Los Angeles who did not approve of the haircut on the cover.

This is a surprisingly clean original pressing. I really like the music and the performance is wonderful. It sounds good but I’m no Bruckner expert so I don’t really know how it compares to other performances and recordings of this music. Perhaps someone could make a recommendation.

The reference for Bruckner 9 is Carl Schuricht, but those are very expensive on HM|V originals. ERC did copies but those are expensive as well. You could try it on Testament to get the performance with compressed sonics.

By ambient noise floor, do you mean the room?

I do not know what you mean by "the room." How can the room be making noise?

Bonzo,
Any recommendations for a Bruckner 9 that’s sub $200?

By being undamped. I hear sort of a hallway effect. But I think you're referring to the ambient noise even prior to the needle drop, which upon re-listening I noticed as well.

The Schuricht on Testament is under 40, you get performance sans sonics, sometimes it comes up on Electrola just under 200.

The Joseph Keilberth on Telefunken is a decent performance under 200.. Harmonia Mundi has al 1 - 9 in a set and while I haven't heard those LPs most Mundi LPs have very good sonics and quite enjoyable performances.

Live I heard 5 - 9 and I have only liked 7, which I heard Haitink perform both at Barbican and at Concertgebouw. Not big into Bruckner

Peter, I'm vaguely recalling you telling me you bought a Solti/Mahler LP - maybe the 8th. I would love to watch a video of your Lamm/Vitavox system playing it.

Hello Tim,

I am sorry it took me so long to put this together. I do indeed have this recording. Here are two videos. They are long, about 10 minutes each because I wanted to get through to the bells in the first movement and some chorus as well as solos and orchestra to show the incredible complexity of the music.

The first video is with the vdH Colibri XPP mounted on the rear tonearm going through the SUT with an SME phono cable to the Lamm's MM input. The second video is with the vdH Colibri Master Signature on the front arm. They might not be recorded at quite the same volume given the different outputs.
