I am only now finding out about the Thoress phono enhancer as I look for a further or new phono as 3 inputs would exceed my AR Ref 2. At 9300 euros and 6 inputs it would seem to be a veritable bargain and I'm surprised more don't use it unless it has shortcomings that I have not read about...
I saw a nice Ikeda 9Gss today which seems to be their top of line cartridge.
Can anyone shed some light on their cartridges and what sort of tone arm would be suitable (apart from their own of course).
I had a chat with my SL dealer today. He said you really need to use the SL SUT due to the super low impedance (around 1 ohm). Too many people hope that their phono amps can cope but they don’t get the full effect of the cartridge without the SUT.
