    Vitus SM-103 Monos Demo

I don't have any experience of Shun Mooks under amps and have used Stillpoints for some years now. I had Ultra Vs under my Vitus 025 which then went under my 030. I was advised that the Ultra6 V2s worked particularly well with the 030 so I tried them. They proved an ideal match for my 030 and I...

Selecting amplification - Vitus vs T+A vs

If it is of any consolation I can understand your dilemma as set out in your opening post which is how can I get what I want without spending more than I want to, but do correct me if I have incorrectly interpreted your OP. It's a problem most, if not all of us ,in this hobby come up against and...

power cords for Vitus SM-101 Monoblocks , what do you think can match?

I replaced my Vitus 025 SIA with an 030 about two years ago and throughout this period I have been using all Entreq cables in addition to their ground boxes. I also use their ground cables to earth the negative speaker outputs of the 030. The i/cs and the power cables are very largely Apollo...

What are members recommendations on current turntables in the $15K to $22K price range?

I have the J Sikora Standard Line with the same tonearm which is less expensive than the Max.It sounds wonderful and is remarkably good value. I would certainly recommend you to check them out.

    Vitus SM-103 Monos Demo

In my experience there is a special synergy between my Vitus 030 and the four Stillpoint Ultra 6s that I use. Definitely better than the previous Ultra 5s. I would not be surprised if the same synergy was present with the SM monos and linestage.

    Vitus SM-103 Monos Demo

:) As I read your post I kept saying yes, yes as I referenced your comments to my own enjoyment of my Vitus SIA 030. So happy for you. Enjoy.

LFD Cables (phono and I.C.) from the UK, cables as components

I have had a number of listening sessions with Mik's systems including a number of high end turntables, arms cartridges and amps. His heavily modified Rockports were constants. LFD cables and dongles. State of the art sound and distinctly different character to the sounds of the different...

    Vitus SM-103 Monos Demo

Thanks for the photos and the updates. I have the Vitus 030 and the Sikora Standard Line and the same tonearm so I have high hopes that you will be happy with the Vitus power amps. I find there is such a captivating flow to the Vitus sound and a near perfect balance to their resolution and...

Yes I have the Athena racks and agree that they benefit the ground boxes as well as the sources.

    Entreq Tellus grounding

Thanks. I am sure a dedicated ground box, or one with separate compartments, for your power conditioner would be the most cost effective approach. I am not sure that copper or silver makes any real difference. It may well be that copper is used on the Olympus because it is cheaper and that...

Yes I agree dts-99. I also use my best power cable, an Entreq Atlantis Infinity, to connect my power block to the mains for the same reason.

Vitus SIA-025 Mk2 vs Audio Analogue Absolute

I have commended the Vitus025SIA in other threads, but missed this one. I had one for several years before upgrading last year to the 030 which indicates how much I like the Vitus amps. The 025 gave me tremendous pleasure and satisfaction. The build quality and aesthetics are both very good and...

QSA : My take on their expensive products

That is interesting Ian. I have the mauve and yellow and plan to try the red at a future stage. It rather seems that fuses take us back to the perennial choice and debate over warmth and transparency where at the end of the day it becomes a matter of personal choice. I had a very similar...

Thank you Lloyd. The new turntable rather dominated my playings following the rack reorganisation and the additional shelves and the new Tellus Infinity 2.. More recently though I have been playing some of my CDs now that everything has settled in. The Tellus Infinity 2 is earthing my three box...

    Entreq Tellus grounding

Thank you for your post. I recently had to reorganise my racks to accommodate a J Sikora Standard Line turntable and arm which required two additional Entreq shelves plus additional ground box capacity. I bought a Tellus Infinity 2 which is grounding my three box DCS Scarlatti plus an additional...

T+A PA 3100 HV VS Gryphon Diablo 300

Hi there About six years ago I moved from Naim NAP 500/552DR to a Vitus 025 SIA. At the time I was using YG Acoustic Carmels and later upgraded to YG Kipod Signature passives both of which are 87/88db sensitivity. At the time I was a bit sceptical as to whether the Vitus would be powerful enough...

    Entreq Tellus grounding

Thank you for the update. What interconnect, power and speaker cables do you use? I use Entreq. Apollo, Apollo Infinity and one Atlantis Infinity power cable to my distribution block. They give me the balance I like. Not lean or warm ,just like the porridge in Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

    Munchen High end show 2022

Yes a timely reminder of the limitations and values of shows, but still a good starting point to get to know new kit and other manufacturers equipment that may not be readily accessible where you live. Seeing and hearing things in the flesh and being able to talk to the manufacturers is...

    Munchen High end show 2022

I don't stream . I am not into horns and was quite selective about the stands I visited. The best sound I heard was the Stenheim Ultime 2 driven by Dartzeel big monoblocks. They are large speakers, too big for my room, but sounded very good indeed to my ears. Transparent but communicative and...
