There is so much information/stuff/potential directions/ and I can go on. Overwhelming. Half this shit I don't even comprehend. Impressive the layers of knowledge/understanding that some of you have. For people like me I guess we just sit back and be like sheep. Wait until implementation and...
Thanks for asking Steve. I’m good. Was able to come home the same day. Already doing PT and hitting 106 ROM. Nights suck. Just doing Tylenol. You know. Getting comfortable to get some good shut eye is the most difficult part. It’s been very nice with the well wishes from the WBF boys and some...
I'm in standby. I don't understand understand the reasoning for on all the time other than keeping them warm. I could see leaving them on when new to do a break in.
On another point Clay at REL sent me a pic of a pad with a host of numbers while doing an install. I do understand this was a...
Sorry for the late reply Arnie. Knee Replacement surgery Monday. A bit out of commission. Each sub is different, I found setting them symmetrically to find a reference helpful. They will never be the same in any room.
What I found (and I have done very little listening) just the weekend before...
Thank You Arnie. Beautiful Room! Its amazing the transformation that the array provides. It hasn't been 48 hours and I'm floored. I appreciate the well wishes...John
Yes it is daunting and each sub will have a different High Low Level/Crossover. One would assume they would be the same. But because of the rooms acoustics they will vary because of bass frequency. The 3 need to work in unison. The anchor, first one on the floor needs to coexist with the middle...
I started sweating! It was so far out of balance! I kept saying to myself "what have you done"! LOL! But as you indicated when it starts to come together, WOW. I would have been miserable if the cables didn't arrive. The surgery is one thing but if I had to stare at the subs without having an...
I've read so much about the benefits of RELS 6 Pack Array. To be honest I thought it was hyped up BS. Not to mention the imposing nature of 6 Carbon Specials kind of turned me off. Finally my curiosity overcame me. I called Tom at ONEST AUDIO. I never met Tom (a friend recommended him) I must...
Thank You Steve, attempting to control my high wattage personality! Not easy, sort of like a caged leopard! When I hear good things such as what you have shared and Mark (@MarkusBarkus) also Steve Z @oldmustang it calms me down...A little...
Remember our deal Greg, if I don't come out of anesthesia. Door is unlocked boxes are on top of the wine room. Help yourself to some bottles. Better bring a big truck!
This is purely conjecture as I have never ran the H direct. BUT I have run many other DACS direct. Typically it starts off as "I can't believe what I have been missing" then it becomes edgy and fatiguing. It's a big trade off. Not constantly but passages of music don't take on the same tonality...
I would say typically 50%? Morning listening lower. Rarely do I manually change medium bias to high bias on the line stage. I used to use the green bias cable but I'm so familiar now when it would switch to high bias I just manually change it. High bias usually has too much wine involved.
I understand Steve. I could easily do without such a feature. Streamlined efficiency , great SQ, smooth operating features hits all the right buttons for me.
Forgive my overwhelming amount of computer limitations. Maybe dyslexia is a good thing? I assume its not possible to institute a version of something like focus that Roon uses within XDMS? Its a valuable tool in narrowing large library's. I assume this is most likely not possible??
I seriously believe power cables are beyond a doubt system dependent. I have all FI-50 (R) connecters into NCF rhodium receptacles. I also realize many do not like rhodium. I find that curious? I did go with Furutech Gold Plated for my Extreme into Furutech Gold plated receptacle. I use all...
One never knows, if I ever have Propulsion Questions Steve you would be my "go to". Perhaps if I venture into kinetic sculpture? That could be dangerously fun!
I don't think anyone is trying, can, or will, outsmart Emile. Its too simple an exercise not to take a listen. Its not like I'm buying a switch to accomplish this. Nor would I. I find my baseline with the new switch after sometime I insert (in my case the M12) and decipher what I hear. Nothing...
Interesting enough the first sub, low level/crossover is identical. 2nd tier/3rd may be different. This is a result of room acoustics. I'll elaborate further when I set them up. Ought to be interesting!
I think many will try "pre-conditioning". Most of us have expensive switches and the way most of us are wired we will attempt to utilize. Will this translate to a positive? Sounds like it won't. I intend on using the new switch on its own, establish my reference, than experiment with the M12 in...
Room size would be a critical aspect of using the 6 pack array. My room is (log home) 30' X 26' X 26H', 9/12 pitch, with an open loft. I could do audio sermons in here! That would be interesting! We're talking approx, Taking the pitch into account and open loft 15000.00 cubic (conservative) feet...
