YG Acoustics Announces Sonja XV Loudspeaker

Sure MDP632 can state his point, which he did, and I can ask my question in any way that I want once the point is stated. Not looking for your approval or really care about your opinion.

YG Acoustics Announces Sonja XV Loudspeaker

That is my only point. What IF once someone actually heard a speaker and it did something above and beyond what they have heard from other speakers, regardless of price. I would think this would add a heightened perceived value to this speaker.

I will humbly apologize for the sarcasm if he has heard the M9s.

Where did you hear the M9s? Just curious as I know you wouldn't make comparisons without hearing something, right?

Just edited to add that yes the bass of M2 is different and very resolving vs many (not all) ported bass speakers, but the M2 imho DOES have bass, like you say very resolving bass and in my experience pleasing to many. Just because a ported speaker has powerful bass, if that bass is not in...

Where did you get "all that space"? The room is about 18' W X 15' deep. Then all of the things that I mentioned in the room. The speakers are actually now about two feet out from the back wall. The large couch sitting area is about 9' from the speakers and then there is a walk way behind the...

You got it Al. I probably have 20 customers that have the type of townhomes described above. I think almost all of the owners have alternate residences or at least a house in the Hamptons. Many have a place in the Hamptons a home in Europe and then sometimes in CT or up in Maine. When Covid...

    KeithR's "Dream Speaker" Search

Keith, I'm sure with all of your speaker auditioning that you are very sure whether you heard the M2 and you heard "no bass". With trying three different amplifiers, may I ask if the speakers were in the same room in the same placement and whoever demoed the M2s connected 3 different amps up...

The M2 room is a 4 story townhome $30M+, which is the norm for 4-5 story Manhattan townhomes on certain streets. Hundreds of them. Actually more at the $50M+ price point on many on certain streets. (btw, all the people that live in these residences are somewhere else now:) The listening room...

While we are all discussing M9s and A5s I've been selling and Instaling M2s and M3s. NYC dwellings even in extravagant quarters require "cramped" placement and must, out of necessity, share precious space in multi-use rooms. Kids, spouses, pets and physical space dictate set ups. Even...

Hi Carlos, Thx and it would be great to see you. I think it would be worth the trip once the M9s are installed, ALTHOUGH you can go out to Magico and hear them now as well:) Great trade-ins for Q7II's:)

Tang, At 68 it's fun to have someone say that I am giving "just cool dude talk", not quite a "cool dude" at this point:cool: I'm just saying how I feel. I don't believe in "better" with cars, jets, boats, houses, pianos, guitars, you name it. I don't believe in it with audio systems, either...

Well it's not so weird as the latest driver tech was not available when the M3 and M2 were designed. If it was available then it most likely would be in those models. If you follow Magico's rollout of their models in previous years there has been several times when a certain driver, tweeter...

Elliott, Carlos's question was NOT about what Alon did or what he built his speakers for. Carlos asked if you had to get to a certain price point to have "personal preference". I was referring to Carlos question and NOTHING to do with Magico or Alon and why Alon builds his speakers. Your...

I really don't subscribe to better or best, especially at this level. Even at much less expensive levels once you get to a certain point, if a system is well set up, the room is good, then it's all just different to me vs. better or best. I would bet everything in my human possession that the...

Pilium Elektra DAC arrives at Rhapsody

Hi, sorry, but I just took it out of the flight case a few hours ago. Konstantinos at Pilium DID break it in for me as we were waiting for the new USB driver, but it needs a few days now turned on and playing. From what I hear, I would put it in the upper echelon of DACs. I used to and still...

I heard and have been listening to the A5 for a month. I did not hear the M9. So I would not do any type of comparisons, but I can guesstimate that we are talking different planets between the A5 and the M9 in sonic performance. Although tech that was developed for the M9 trickled down to the A5.
