    Low-cost streamer compares to Aurender

If you can use SPDIF then the Rednet 3 will cost you about 900-1000 USD. I got the Rednet 16 (about 1500-1600 USD) and together with the Mutec MC3+USB, connected with AES cable to my Berkeley Ref dac it betters my old Berkeley Alpha USB converter by a great margin. If you are interested in Dante...

    DCS Vivaldi

Thanks for the feedback Peter. I guess I have to be prepared to dig deep in my pockets then as I understand the consensus is that Vivaldi (+stack) is better. On the other hand, ignorance can be bliss and I can live happily with my soon upgraded version 2...(very delayed that is). But...

    DCS Vivaldi

Hi Thank you for the kind words. I used to have Evolution 900 before the MRAs and they are the only I can compare directly with, especially since most of my gear has been changed a multiple times before i bought my 900 and MRAs. With MRAs massive power they will play anything with...

    New Q3/mini M-Pro?

@Elberoth. I do belive Magicos blossom with god, solid power. I use a pair of Krell MRAs with lots of power and what you said about natural, colorful, weighty and saturated, I feel is spot on describing the M Pros. I have earlier owned Q3s and Q5s but he M Pros are clearly the most naturally...

    New Q3/mini M-Pro?

    New Q3/mini M-Pro?

Hi Ron Was this at Magico HQ or in Munich? If the later I belive they only had S5 mk2 and M Project. Please correct me if I am wrong. Tommy

Magico Q1 (Mini II) plus sub or Magico Q3?

I have a room with the measure 15 x 18 x 9 and an opening to my kitchen about the same size. Before my M Pros I had Q3s, Q5s and back again to Q3s with Qsub15. The Q3s are really great but more lean than the Q5. But togheter with the excellent Qsub its a totaly different ball game. Even with my...

    New Q3/mini M-Pro?

Are you sure about this PeterA? Looking at the render of M Pro it sure looks like there is a copper ring around the midrange on the M Pro. http://magico.net/product/mproject.php Tommy

    S sub

There is no XLR output on the rear of my Qsub. I think the HPF is for cutting the sub in the low 20-hz … I does not work beneth 20 hz, just from 20 hz and up. More info on the ALLDSP1800B (http://www.doyleaudio.com/downloads/amps/All-DSP%201800B%20Flyer.pdf). Disclaimer, I do not know if it...

    S sub

It looks like it has the same connections as my Qsub. If so, the S-Sub might use AllDsp1800B for DSP controll (http://www.alldsp.com/frame.php?content=Product_Detail&ID=1800B). This give you the possibility to connect your sub via Ethernet to your wifi and controll the subs PEQ, HPF, LPF...

    S sub

It looks like a IEC 20 amp connection on the back, so it should be active.

    S sub

I like it to! What do you think, is it 2x 10" or bigger? Would love too see 2x15" or 2x18" S Sub! :D
  21. T

    S sub

Correct :-) No visible screws here! I love the sub, it integreats perfectly with the Q3, I can hardly hear its on but when its off, I notice it easily! I use a center placement and this gives a more linear bass with defintion and thunderous bass when needed! Tommy

    S sub

Looks like a new range of subwoofers from Magico. The S sub?

Would S3's or S5's be best in my room

Thanks. It makes sense, given the larger woofers and bigger amp(s) in Qsub18. Tommy

Would S3's or S5's be best in my room

Sorry for OT. @Stereo. It would be very interesting to know how much of a difference there is between the Qsub18 and the Qsub15, can you put it in words? Thanks

Would S3's or S5's be best in my room

The sub integration is perfect, I only notice the sub when I turn it off. I use a Macbook with DSPcontrol for the sub, the sub is contected with a ethernet cable to my network. This way I controll the sub wireless. It is very easy to blend in the sub with your main speakers. I only use one sub...

Would S3's or S5's be best in my room

I used to have the Q5 but changed to Q3 + Qsub15. The fullness of the Q5 were much better than the Q3 only - but when using the Qsub15 the total sound is much larger and better defined, I guess the massive controll in lower hz gives a better flow/ease of the music. I would highly recommend an...
