" There are no speakers; there are no walls." - A brief summary of Allnic's current Line Stage (preamplifier) product line.

While I posted this on another thread, I feel the content is important to repost here: I was one of the first to own the L10,000 OTL/OCL before I became a dealer. I used a 33' run of balanced output to my monoblocks. I can wholeheartedly attest the magic of the OTL/OCL is lost with the balanced...

    All kc otl/o’clock preamp

I was one of the first to own the L10,000 OTL/OCL before I became a dealer. I used a 33' run of balanced output to my monoblocks. I can wholeheartedly attest the magic of the OTL/OCL is lost with the balanced outputs. KS Park's internal circuits are unbalanced, and an in-house made...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

The WCore 2.0 is a 15-20% increase in performance, by my subjective estimation. For N. American markets I decided to discontinue importing the WCore 1.0. I can special order one if a customer is absolute. Waversa is also releasing a WCore Pro, a much more complex design and exponentially...

Allnic Electronics current product line: A central and current list of published Reviews

October 16th, 2020 Anthony Kershaw Review of the L-8000DHT, my favored DHT preamp. https://www.audiophilia.com/reviews/2020/4/30/kershawallnicl8000 The 3A109b and 3A110a telephone repeater tubes from 1916-1935. Some 400,000 were in use by 1935. I hope a stash of these tubes exists in a barn...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

Yes the smart hub is a good move, the Wrouter is better, the Wbridge basic or standard as a switch is best. If your Ethernet run is over 6 meters, best to have any switch before your audio equipment. An audiophile grade is better choice. Speak with Vincent directly regarding your options...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

Hi Thielste, That is my set up at home. Interestingly the new version the Vdac with the right tube complement is on par with TD12mkii, side by side. An upstream audiophile switch does bring sonic improvement. When you link up various network devices by Waversa, you take advantage of...

" There are no speakers; there are no walls." - A brief summary of Allnic's current Line Stage (preamplifier) product line.

For those who may be interested in a DHT preamplifier and how it compares directly to the Allnic L-7000, there is a new review out by Anthony Kershaw of Audiophellia regarding the L-8000DHT. https://www.audiophilia.com/reviews/2020/4/30/kershawallnicl8000

Newest Amplifier Design by Kang Su Park - The Allnic M-2500 Monoblock

Hi Bill, The U52 rectifier which is what I use in the PX25, yes there would be issues. But the circuit designed by KS with 5U4G - no issues at all. The U52 sometimes has an issue with the 300B, so we changed the tube complement accordingly.

    Waversa's Wcore 2.0 Customized

I love those footers! Were they custom made? The spacing certainly helps with heat dissipation. Any sonic improvements with the vibration dampening?

Waversa VDAC - some comments on my new DAC

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

Dear Ludovic, The Smarthub has been around for 4-5 years now and the only change is the chassis to accommodate the mainstream AA lithium ion battery type that is more commonly found. The manufacturer states these batteries have a one year lifespan but my experience is 3 years. The smart hub...

    Cable Modems

For those who have used dd-wrt - what settings did you find beneficial and those that seemed with no effect or harmful? Is this tweak worthy of an independent thread?

    Cable Modems

There may be a Jensen redesign or another manufacturer that does not have this bottleneck. I have not had time to look into this further. We went through all sorts of tests and had a technician visit-- only to discover this as the culprit. I felt sheepish.

    Cable Modems

Jensen - I removed it because it actually hindered my internet speed. Ping 10 ms, 350 Mbps (download) and 30 Mps (upload). By 2/3-3/4th. Drastic. There were sonic benefits. I would reconsider if I had a dedicated audio cable internet connection. There would be a benefit in a power surge...

    SET amp owners thread

I owned the Allnic A-6000 for over 10 years with Emission Labs XLS 300B and never blew a tube. The new owner is still using more or all of them today (another 2 - 3 years). They are a parallel SET and I actually did find an advantage with a non-parallel circuit if you have speakers efficient...

Evolution of Waversa Products and keeping units at optimal performance.

ROON DSP optimization for Waversa products. Let your ears decide.

An Update to this post: When WAP / X FPGA was released this allows for WAP / DSD and that was enabled by a firmware update. If your firmware is current, then your unit performs WAP / DSD when WAP / X is on. The above information no longer is applicable. No updates required for the DAC3...

Just Announced - The final run production of the Allnic L1500 preamp at a stellar price.

If you have read my posts on other topics, I mention value when I see it. Sometimes we come across components or tweaks that perform while also priced competitively. The L-1500 with the L-7000 coupled output transformers stands out at one of the highest value pieces I have witnessed. The...

Isolation Transformer and Balanced Power versus PS Audio Regenerator

Waversa's approach to digital amplification: Class D circuitry with class A harmonic signature

The Waversa Wamp 2.5 MK2 as s Digital Amplifier The technically not quite correct expression for a class D amplifier is supposed to make clear - referring to the Wamp 2.5 MK2 - that it has an entirely digital signal processing before the actual class D amplifier. The Wamp 2.5 MK2 converts all...

Allnic's first cable turns silver! Introducing the ZL-8000 's' speaker cable!

Introducing the first pure silver core cable by Allnic - the ZL-8000s! Right out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how weighty these cables are compared to its older brother of copper origin. At 2 mm thicker diameter, they certainly are denser -- attributed to the lower gauge wire used...
