Does "competes with much more expensive" actually exist?

They should not call a new line ‘Reference’ if it is beaten by a 10 year old design by the same name. For the rest I do not disagree with your post

Does "competes with much more expensive" actually exist?

The ten-year-old kef 207/2 still beats KEFs current Reference series.

    Furutech Pure Power 6E NCF

Well done! I do not think there is any negative result by using the Boosters. But applying them excessively would not be my way to go.... for me it could be a way to madness hahaha. "Mmm, one more? Is it better? Is it too much?.... Four is a nice number :-)

    Furutech Pure Power 6E NCF

Oh, haha. I made custom raisers out of wood, just to raise the Elrod Masters from the floor. Have to be honest, there is no audible difference but it looks better and it is easier to dust the floor.

    Furutech Pure Power 6E NCF

HI, yes, I used them at the beginning (at the wall socket) and end (into the Pure Power). They are addictive little pieces. Hard to describe what they do but once in, you don't want to take them out. Best desciption is that they increase the 3D and they give a sort of "aliveness" to the sound...

    Furutech Pure Power 6E NCF

Hi all, I hope I can make sense of my total experience this weekend. The problem with installing a lot of new "variables" is to differentiate (Pure power / NCF boosters / Furutech cables). But I'll give it a try :-).

    Furutech Pure Power 6E NCF

Dragging myself from my set (extremely hard) in order to provide you all with an episode of an audiophile. I have been playing with Nagra (see pics) for a while. Extremely happy but the upgrade bug kept raising its ugly head. So I went to listen to a Zanden 3000 mk2 preamp (to replace my Nagra...

Furutech DPS-4.1 limited edition power cable vs Nanoflux power NCF

Hi Rainer, I am Dutch so I also use the Schukos. You have a point about cables and components. It is very tempting to go for broke on all components. And this is probably not possible at all. Again, enjoy the weekend. Tschuss, Wim

Furutech DPS-4.1 limited edition power cable vs Nanoflux power NCF

Danke Rainer, very clear description. Just wondered about one thing. "Amp: 2 Mono BROCKSIEPER LC 807/75 w Standard Power Cable". I presume that it has fixed power cables that you cannot change?! Have a nice weekend as wel :-)

Furutech DPS-4.1 limited edition power cable vs Nanoflux power NCF

The replacing of the non-NFC for the NFC and still not getting the full NFC-experience is interesting. There must be something special about the top cable's configuration, more then just the NFC connectors. I think the NFC midrange can be a bit too much but I also think this is primarily the...

Furutech DPS-4.1 limited edition power cable vs Nanoflux power NCF

Hi all, can somebody shed some light on the main difference between the self-built DPS4.1, terminated with FI-E50 NCF's and the top of the line Nanoflux power NCF. I am reading conflicting reviews...the 4.1 being a warm cable, or a serious contender for a lot of more expensive cables. Is the 4.1...

Furutech NCF AC Plugs: Gold vs Rhodium Reviewed!

Gold melts at almost half the temperature of Rhodium. Gold is very easy to work with. Gold never tarnishes. Gold is plentiful. Gold has been a standard for years and only a small select few audio nuts are that concerned about the difference. Or maybe, as Colonel Nathan R. Jessup Testifies in...

First Impressions : Furutech Pure Transmission Power 6E - versus - Vibex Granada powersplitter

Last week I went to listen to 3 Furutech power "strips". The cheapest one, the cheapest NCF and the 6E NCF.Each step up, increased transparancy etc. However, the 6E NCF was the only one that turned every song into an EVENT! Holy moly, is the best way to describe what I heard. I am planning to...

    Magico M9 >>>>Fulfillment

Hahaha guys. No, it was not my jaw. I am a big Magico fan. The best sound I have heard in my entire life was during a show with Zanden amps combined with the mk.1 of the Magico Q 7. The gravity is a about the design of the M9. It looks heavy because of the lower part... not easthetically...

    Zanden vs. Nagra

Nice to hear from someone who has both Zanden and Nagra. My mind is made up, only the small matter of money. It will be a mix between the Zanden (3000) and the Nagra Classic amp. Of course I will report when the time is there. It is often said that the 3000 and 9600 should be viewed as one...

    Zanden vs. Nagra

I promised to get back on my comparison between the Nagra Jazz and the Zanden 3000 mk.2. A friend and I spent half a day at the exellent Listening Matters high-end store in The Haque. The owner, Ben van Leliveld, is a beacon of knowledge and made us feel truly welcome. So.... in short: the...

    Gryphon Mephisto Stereo

It might be wise to check which transport unit is used. I once had a dCS which Philips transport broke down. Tried to get it fixed and they told me it could not be done because they no longer had in in stock. It "cured" my "fascination" for the brand immediately.

Thank you for your answer! I am very happy with my set :-) Unfortunately, I am also an audiophile ;-) We will see.
