Mine is pretty rock solid. I haven’t noticed any play. I use the remote most of the time but I’ll check again. Do you have the power supply and do you know if you can power non Nagra gear.

Surge1 you need to hear it on a proper system to appreciate this amazing dac. I thought the Lampizator pacific was amazing until I heard the Nagra.

Thanks for the reply. I’m on the verge of retiring my sonore as well. I just don’t get all the processing power that’s being put into a simple music player. I can see where clocking or timing is of utmost importance but to use two CPU and multiple cores seem overdone.

Anyone compare this monster against more modest offerings like the sonore signature tendu or Pjnk Faun.

A suggestion if I may, can we get a few volunteers to test the various players out on the market and come to a consensus, similar to the very informative thread on lampi pacific tube rolling.

It’s tricky to speak on dynamics and overall improvements because both the Dac and the preamp were upgraded at the same time and then the ground loop happened. I didn’t have a chance for a critical listening session because of the nasty hum when both components were added. So I don’t know how...

The quadplex is on a single 120v line with a 20amp breaker. Using the multimeter, I get 120v.
