Can Horn Speakers Disappear like Planars, Stats, and Omnis? Is the Disappearance Act Subjective? Or based on Placement and Partnering Equipment?

Not sure I agree with you on planar speaker disappearance. With wide planar, I had a hard time ignoring its presence. Their wide bodies always stop me forming believable imaging unless they project the sound forward rather than behind speakers. To me, omni or baffleless speakers are very easy...

Dedicated AC Line For Hi-Fi Setup

Skin effect is not relevant for frequency 50 or 60 Hz. For RF frequency, skin effect is a good thing as it will increase resistance for RF. You don’t want RF to pollute your equipments from AC.

Are there more differences than similarities between CH Precision and other top Swiss brands?

In case anyone interested. CH M10 power amps do not have positive gain. They only allow user to lower the gain. And the max gain is 24dB. This is what my dealer sent to me after he asks Florian why there is no positive gain in M10.

    Sablon power cords

The IECs are 90 degree oriented to each other. I think Bocchino IECs will fit. 15A is not just to power display. it is also used to power input stage.

    MBL 101 X-Tremes

It is omni in horizontal plane and not in vertical plane. Even markerting materials from MBL shows the sound wave is omni in horizontal plane. Planar or line source speakers are relatively insensitive to listening heights. Definitely not MBL.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

TAS is much superior. Or rather I would say Roon is much worse. Roon is very closed in. Seems listening inside a small box.

    MBL 101 X-Tremes

I totally agree. Not try to keep repeating myself over and over, I have said the same a few times already in different threads in WBF. VAC 450 beats 9011 in driving 101. Much more musical.

American Sound AS-2000 Installations- Far East (Tango)

It seems that his AS2000 sits on slate. No air isolation. His phono sits on Stacore platform which has air isolatio.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

No. But I have Jriver and Roon open at the same time. So whatever disk and net activity should affect both servers. It is not even close. Roon is very muddy. Roon 1.7 does not sound like that. I think there is something serious wrong with 1.8.

Don’t upgrade. Sound quality is worse in my system even I do not have Extreme.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

No. I have suggested this feature. Hopefully, they will implement in the future. From Roon 1.8 video, it seems that their Focus function is much improved and is similar to Jriver view.

A very cheap but extremely effective tweak for records’ static

it is very dry in here for the last week. Humidity Is around 30 to 40%. So perfect weather to test the plasma lighter. It works very well. Very effective. No more static when lifting LP from the platter. To me, it works better than DS Audio. I will put up DS Audio for sale.

Not black does not equal to white. Not white does not equal to black. When I say cartridge A has more body than cartridge B does not mean cartridge B is thin. It is a matter of degree.
