    Coda no 16 amplifier

The roll off I described are in the highest audible frequencies where the demands of my Prodigy push the amp into the 1ohm range and can become overbearing in my bright, minimally treated room. Not with the 07x and #8 pairing. On my reference recordings, Stevie Ray Vaughan's Tin Pan Alley and...

    Coda no 16 amplifier

The Coda 07x does have a bit of roll-off on the top end which works well with my stats. I think you would find the Code #8 or #16 amp will get the most out of your Thiels. The current output is huge @ 150 amperes.. I sold a Krell FPB 600 after getting the Coda as there was so much more control...

So you listened to a large section of their catalog over a good period of time. I have the 07x paired with the #8 v2 running through ML Prodigy speakers. Being a huge Zep fan myself, I look forward to running through some of their catalog, Zep III being my favorite go to when sitting for a...

Sorry to read this. I thought I read a while ago that the transformers were in and units were being completed for shipment.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

Interesting. I describe my #8 v2 with those exact words...it replaced a fully rebuilt FPB600. There was a stark contrast in dynamics and the ability to fully control my big electrostats. The Krell, although very powerful, always felt like there was something lacking. I attribute the improvement...

Is Coda planning a two box preamp? I have not heard this, but I have heard the 07x is the best preamp on the market that no one knows about.... I’d love to pair it up with my Coda #8 to hear the magic.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

Nice. I’m looking forward to reading your initial thoughts. I’m running mine through a set of Martin Logan Prodigy speakers. The very first thing I noticed was how dead quiet the amp is between passages. The second thing was the unlimited dynamics. With current output ranging to 150 amps it...

Which version did you end up ordering? I have version 2 and it remains in class A 80% of the time.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

I’m currently considering purchasing a CP to go along with my no.8... I’ve heard the 07x is really excellent. Not sure if it’s worth the $3k bump over the CP, although the additional connectivity is nice.

A dimmer option is one thing I wish they would have included. I have thought about changing the lights to an amber backlight to tone it down a bit.

First component that I’ve owned with meters since the 80’s. I have to say the performance of this amp makes me forget all about the meters... really, really good!

    Coda no 16 amplifier

Purchased a Coda no. 8 v2 a couple of weeks ago to replace a Krell FPB-600. I am very impressed with the increase in realism and dynamics this amplifier is able to deliver over my beloved Krell. I’m constantly searching to find time during this busy time of year to sit and listen more...now to...
