I listened to the video of Peter's system and there is indeed some distortion. It has to be the recording device as I heard no distortion when I listened to the system. Actually one of the lowest distortion systems I've ever heard.

Well I'd like to hear a good DSP system someday, I'm not saying they're bad, I've just never heard a good one.

They had all this stuff on their website when I was seriously looking at the Alpha’s. When you said you couldn’t find it on the site I searched Google and found it. Not sure why they removed it from the main website. Anyway, the real conversation was about Avantgardes, which are not time...

I can keep posting stuff for you Brad or you could take my word for it as I was seriously thinking about buying the Alpha’s and did my research. You couldn’t find anything on the site about the time alignment, do you need me to find that for you too?

It’s core to their design principles. You can read all about it on their website. Avantgarde, however, is not time aligned or do they claim to be on any of their marketing materials.

It makes sense to ignore someone when you've lost an argument. My daughter used to do that in pre-school.

What makes this conversation even more hilarious is that you own time aligned horns. Look how far back your tweeter is from the midrange, at least 12", maybe more. Avantgarde has their tweeter an inch back from the midrange, obviously just for looks and not for physical time alignment. Now I can...

I love the internet: Surge1: 1. I can't post any actual data from their website about the statement I'm making 2. I haven't owned or used what I'm arguing about 3. I look at a picture on the screen and will argue about it. Thank you for providing the morning entertainment.

Here is one of the many blogs you can find on the web about modding the Avantgards top make them time aligned: https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/mods-for-avantgarde-speakers So in the end, I have proven my statement with facts and posted examples. I've owned Avantgards and have...

Speakers for Kondo Ongaku... Please Help

There is nothing on their website about the speakers being time aligned. If they were time aligned, they would mention it on their website and their marketing materials. It's really simple. Also, if you look at the OMA speakers, they are very drastically spaced out to be time aligned. Have you...

Speakers for Kondo Ongaku... Please Help

Sorry but that’s not how physical time alignment works. if you look at any horn speakers that are physically time aligned, they have proper adjustment. Look at the attached picture of the Cessero tweeter. And for final proof, no where on the Avantgarde site does it say they are time aligned...

Speakers for Kondo Ongaku... Please Help

You’re totally incorrect on both accounts. To physically time align something, it must be adjustable (like Wilson’s top models) so the drivers can be adjusted to the listener’s seating position. Avantgardes are not adjustable. In terms of using DSP, here’s the description from the Avantgarde...

Peter's Magico + Pass system presented itself as a very good and accurate sounding stereo system. Peter's Vitavox + Lamm system presents itself as an event. I was sad when it ended, I really liked this new location and all of the characters. I really thought they could have gone in a lot of interesting directions with the Native American characters.
