    ..MX50II Otarip

I just scored on an MX50II that is essentially unused. It came from a radio station and my technician has gone through it and said it’s essentially new. It was mfd in 1997 and is a tank. It’s a 15ips deck and has its own cart on casters. I recorded a couple of my LPs and the results are...

    Need suggestions regarding power conditioning..

I am demoing the Shunyata Denali...the short guy with only 2 outlets. Subtle improvement but definitely good sonics. I run my monoblocks directly from the wall. The only thing a conditioner will feed is my LUMIN and my preamp. I'm hoping to spend no more than $2K and the unit can't be huge...

..my lowly Clearaudio Ebony Maestro MkII in jeopardy

..yesterday while dusting my TT dustcover with a feather duster the static electricity generated lifted the tone arm off its cradle and the needle went skipping merrily along the acrylic platter scaring the crap out of me. Even with strong lighting and a magnifying glass I couldn't confirm that...

    Lumin S1 replaces my A1

..traded my Lumin A1 in today on an S1. The dealer put a few days on it for me and gotta say from the first note the improvement from my A1, which make no mistake is outstanding, was not subtle. I am an even happier camper!

    HDMI cable question

In my HT I'm currently running an Epson Pro Cinema 6010 that's being fed from an HDMI cable that was purchased 9 yrs ago. I have no idea what issue it is...HDMI 1.XX? I am planning to upgrade to the new Epson Pro Cinema 604UB that has "deep color" and is 4K compatible. Question: will my 9yr...

Recurring Dream: The Best of Crowded House

..sitting here listening to this cd straight thru...not a clinker in the bunch. Neil Finn is one of the most talented song writers living today. Also a solo work "Try Whistling This" is killer...both highly recommended!

    SHM SACDs arrived today

..Countdown to Ecstasy and Pretzel Logic. I've had Aja for a few years and these blow the redbooks away, trust me. I bought them thru Elusive Disc and though not inexpensive they are worth it especially if you happen to be a hopeless Dan fan like me...ha! I've got a guy that rips the DSD FLAC...
