I don't believe we have to have only 1 solution for automobiles. If hydrogen based fuel cells become a viable solution than great.
I also believe in modern technology. We will see advancements in power plants of all kinds. I believe we will see new and additional power sources. Current power...
I was under the impression that upwards of 90% of EV charging is done at home. If I had one without a doubt I would install 220V. We are still in the early stages of EVs. I'm sure the nation-wide infrastructure will continue to improve.
WOW if we could cut emissions just in the US by 10% I would think that is awesome. Now if an EV saves 41% or produces 59% pollution of an ICE, isn't that good?
I agree with you if people think 0% that's fantasy.
I haven't made any digital changes. I'm using the Canario Diretta Bridge. Chan set mine up so no PC knowledge needed on my end.
I do plan on listening to SoulNote as I have heard great things about it.
Here is my advice for what it is worth (basically nothing). EVERYTHING has a sound. Every music management SW I have heard imparts something on the music. Every cable, amp, preamp, etc. imparts something on the music. Just go listen and if it sounds good to you, it is good for you.
Oh and by...
I doubt people would pay for me to give them a free link. Really it is just simple math.
"# of streams" x "price paid per stream" = $$
Sorry you have an issue with me stating facts. No harm meant on my end. Like most people I believe the artist are getting taken by the music industry.
My advice would be for you to tell your friends to use a different streaming service. Each service pays a different amount. Here are a couple of sites that allows you to put in the number of streams and see what each pays.

Sorry but it's a simple match exercise. I'm not saying everyone is making money from streaming but the idea that buying a LP, CD translates to more money for the artist isn't all true. It all comes down to how many people buy physical media vs streaming. If an artist wants to make "real" money...
Funny I always hear people make the assumption that artists make more money when you buy the LP, CD, physical media. I'm not sure that is true.
So an artist typically make around 10-15% off each album. So a $25.00 album nets the artist $2.50 - $3.75 on average. So if an artist streams a song...
Clearly this is a question for Sonner. But I have Roon, Roon w/HQPlayer, and Audirvana on my Masterpiece. It is pretty simple to switch back and forth between them.
The following page might explain it better: https://spec-corp.jp/audio/RMP-UB1/index.html
The way I understand it is the Diretta Protocol removes noise by sending smaller amounts of data from the server to the DAC. Maybe someone with more knowledge can explain it better.
I have a Stellar Gravity Ground cable in my system. It seems to lower the noise floor a tad and things seem more relaxed. The change was subtle but there. I have USB and LAN grounding cable.
I have to echo @Bogan88. Even as I listen to different units I have yet had the urge to switch to something else.
I have the Constellation Masterpiece with Diretta Target and Stellar LPS.
I haven't had the opportunity to hear the Pink Faun. Would love to as it seems like a sweet unit. I have heard the Taiko on a few occasions but not in my system.
I use both Qobuz and Tidal. I have found recordings I like better on each platform. In my mind the price of each is very nominal compared to what I have invested in my setup. Sure I can just go with one but in my mind why.
I'm sure you will be happy with Qobuz or whatever you use.
You have your viewpoint and I have mine. Again I don't agree with Spectral just telling the customer to buy one of their newer products. We are not talking about a computer, we are talking about a power supply.
Sorry I can't agree with you on this one. Even if you are a one man shop one of the biggest values in this hobby is product support. Helping one of your customers figure out a solution should be one of your top priorities regardless of how much money the company is making.
Yes an excellent...
I have compared the S3 to others in various price range. For me the biggest strength of the S3 is the midrange. I truly love the mids in this speaker. My biggest complaint is it isn't a forgiving speaker. If your recording is bad, it sounds bad. Some might call this a true to the music speaker...
With 920+ posts and counting I have to ask, does anyone REALLY care what others post? Is anyone really going to change their feeling/belief?
This post is another example of why I steer my kids and friends away from this hobby. Just seems like more complaining than anything else.
