Hi All,
My mid tier product line called 'Heritage' just got completed with a set of single ended mono amplifiers. There are phono and line stages, mono amps and a DAC in this series.
All to be shown in Munich in May.

That was not an ER801A. Srajaen probably did not get all the details right about what we were doing. At that meeting we tried another 300B as driver. That was a combination which I too disliked and that's why I never offered a 300B/300B amp but only with 10Y or 801A driver.
See that's why I...
That was not a 211 drive 211. That was a much much simpler 211 amplifier with indirectly heated driver tube (6HS5). I agree the 6HS5/211 is sonically not comparable to the differential 46 amps. In fact I currently do not offer the 6HS5/211 anymore. 211/211 play on a very different level although...
Thanks Ked,
Sorry about my tone, I realise that sometimes I can come across a bit harsh in writing.
The 211/211 are very different amps. May I ask which ones you heard? There are not many of my 211/211 amps out in the field. The only ones which I demoed publicly about 10 years ago were an old...
Ok, so 4 capacitors in the signal path per channel and a handful of resistors. I prefer to keep the technical facts about my gear correct
You can always ask me about technical facts before publicly posting
Hi!
Let me introduce the first member of the 'Intrepid' line of electronics, an all silver differential 10Y line preamp without any capacitors in the signal path. All electronics of the intrepid line have these things in common:
All signal relevant transformers and chokes are silver wound...
Hi!
Please note that only the differential 10Y preamp and the differential 46 amps have no capacitors in the signal path. I do not know which of my amps and preamps you listend to in that chain were differential. Definitely not the D3a phono. I never shipped a differential D3a phono to the UK...
The first of a new series of DACs is finished.

The chassis is much more rigid. The prototypes are still in manufacturing. So I have not built the preamp yet so no listening yet. Preamp and power supply chassis just want through an initial surface treatment. Final finishing still to be done.
I stand by that statement. It makes no sense to force a tube into use into equipment it was not designed and optimised for. Sure it might somehow work since tubes are very forgiving and work over a wide range. I design and make equipment specifically for the tube types I mentioned
@Designsfx, not sure what you are trying to say. I just listed some under the radar tubes. I use most of those I listed in DACs, preamps and power amps. Albeit in those designed for them. Maybe I misunderstood your original post. Sorry!
I use it in amps designed for them of course. I make and sell amps with many tubes among them 6CB5A. Why would you want to use it in gear not designed for it? Makes no sense.
Hi!
I need to make room for my new product line that is in the works. I am clearing out my stock of demo equipment that accumulated over the years:
