    LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

Exactly! If you follow Steve (seems like an okay guy), you'd have bought lots of gear, thinking it was the end of the line, but that line keeps on moving every few weeks! My Golden Atlantic easily beat my Denafrips Terminator Plus + Denafrips Gaia combo, with the cool "clock out" feature...

Valvo G2504 mesh plates, 1942, NOS

I have one Valvo G2504 rectifier, mesh plate version, 1942 manufacture date, German military issue. Tests NOS: Funke W19 125/125mA = 106%, 106% No issues, functions perfectly. Valvo G2504 comes in solid plate and mesh plate versions. The solid plate is very rare, and hard to find these...

Thanks for those details. Agreed, xulingmrs adapters are quality. I've bought dozens of adapters from him and never had a single issue.

    LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

@budburma so sorry to hear this! We've had other Lampi DAC user reports, having fried their DAC as a result of defective adapter, and there is no doubt, the faulty adapter caused the damage. What adapters are you using?

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

Lukasz' chart seems to be just his generalized, overall sonic ranking, and Lukasz, more than most, appreciates the nuanced sonic differences, and in his defense, if you dig around the Lampi Poland site there are other charts and descriptors that get more into the details. Also, keep in mind, I...

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

Good question. I'm not sure yet. I've been going back and forth on PT14/PT35 output, Telefunken C3G/Telefunken EF802 anode, and Valvo G2504 solid plate/mesh plate, so lots of potential combos. I'm not yet at a point where I have any definitive thoughts on the differences between PT14/PT35...

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

PT35 is another, more recent Philips tube discovery, from Laszlo and Tibor, it looks almost identical to the Philips PT14 and I assume it served the same intended function/purpose as the PT14 back in the day. PT35 is outstanding, just like PT14. I am using PT35 in one system, PT14 in the other.

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

@Gryffles, thanks for the report and RK KR PX4 is definitely a nice tube. My favorites from KR are the RK KR242, followed closely by RK KRPX25, and PX4. PT14 has been very well-received here, but we all have different systems and preferences. You never know until you try for yourself. At...

    Lampizator Golden Gate 3 Impressions

My GG3 also has Engine 11-P rather than the standard Engine 11. I have no idea how E11 compares sonically to E11-P, but 11-P is double the cost, so presumably sonically superior? Who knows. Aside from Lukasz and others at the factory, I'm guessing there are precious few who would have...

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

My findings (w/ TP Adapters and TP's top level grounding wires on all tubes, compared in my GG3 and my Pac2, PT14 and PT35 output tubes, and in Pacific, Telefunken C3G and Telefunken EF802 anode): Solid Plate G2504: Overall, technicalities are a bit superior to the mesh plate- more linear...

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

Thanks for the report. We are hearing it the same- for whatever reason, chrome base sounds better than the brown base version (at least that is, your brown base pair I listened to and A/B compared to my Laszlo chrome base). Brown base is still very good, but chrome is just a bit better...

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

I see a few posts in the thread, where people want to know how Poseidon compares to other Lampi models. I know most on this thread are familiar with this chart, but in case it is helpful to those that haven't seen it, here is a pixelated iphone pic of the comparo chart from Lampi:

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

Still too early for any direct A/B battles between the mesh and solid plate versions, as the mesh is still awakening from a very long hibernation, and is new to my system. The solid plate Valvo G2504 has been my absolute "end game" recti for my Pac and GG, but initial impressions of the mesh...

    LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

Oh yes! Sorry, forgot about that sale. If I recall correctly, Mark of Sablon said he also prefers the Valvo. You are also right about the variation in construction of these tubes with several different variants. For Valvo date codes, I never was able to find anything online. If someone has...

    LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

Nice. Did you also try the AZ1 with the taller/narrower mesh plates? Take a pic of the very bottom of the tube, and you should see some letters. From that, we can determine the month/year of manufacture.

    LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

Hi, This comment is surprising, as AZ1 mesh are super cheap. Are you sure you referenced the right tube? I've bought lots of them over the last year.

The article really has nothing to do with being an audiophile, and all to do with the particular characters involved in the story. The cautionary tale could apply to any obsession or life focus, boats, cars, art, watches, photography, or things like mountain climbing, iron man competitions...

LampizatOr Horizon - Tube Rolling Paradise

I've got both the Valvo G2504 and Telefunken RGN2504, 1940's vintage, and use and enjoy both, with a preference to the Valvo, but Telefunken is fairly close in performance. I've also got solid plate Valvo G2004 and Telefunken RGN2004, which are also good, but Valvo and Telefunken 2504 are...

Sub Selection: How do I begin?

After lots of reading and research, my next purchase will be two Rythmik E15HP subs. Initially, I have to admit I made assumptions regarding the brand over the years, focusing too much on the low price of Rythmik subs and assumed they were more of a mid-fi solution. From most accounts...

Pacific dac: Lampizator's new top of the line dac

Hi Christoph, All my Valvo and Telefunken 2504 are solid plate. I never had a chance to try mesh. Valvo G2504 is now very rare in solid plate, and my sense is, the mesh plate is even harder or close to impossible to obtain. What tubes do you use in your Pac?

Pacific dac: Lampizator's new top of the line dac

Thanks, Christoph. I have several different versions of the E83F and bought the TP adapter for them as well. I was able to source some special lab sample 45 degree getter Tungsram E83F through Laszlo and those are my favorite E83F. Amperex PQ gold pins E83F are also very good. Lab sample...

LampizatOr Horizon - Tube Rolling Paradise

Not to derail the thread, but on the topic of footers, another nice option are the Swiss-made Sound|Kaos Vibra 68 footers... they are giving me some "wow" improvements, under my speakers and subs. Next, I will experiment under my Pac/GG and DHT tube amps. First became aware of them while...
