Introducing Olympus & Olympus I/O - A new perspective on modern music playback

"There could be a next phase where we can attempt to design a more affordable version, which could be more widely deployed, with more universal drivers, which could then be utilised by other server/source manufacturers, as this might be a necessity for wider acceptance as right now it’s...

Introducing Olympus & Olympus I/O - A new perspective on modern music playback

I have always wondered what was holding digital back. How can a vinyl disc of a digitally recorded or remastered album sound better than an effective digital master tape copy? Particularly with the amount of stages that the vinyl source signal has to pass through before we get to hear it. It...

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

Apr 2, 2020 #923 Hi everybody, some things to consider when tube rolling. 1. Never trust internet opinions, because every circuit is different and every operating point is different, hence there is no defined specific tube sound and disappointment can be lurking on the horizon. By far the best...

Lampizator announcement: launch of our all new TOTL HORIZON DAC

Although I have 3 "measure as/better than NOS" UX112As blow in only a few weeks of use. So have given up on them. Unless I just picked the wrong supplier?

Lampizator announcement: launch of our all new TOTL HORIZON DAC

Double blind testing and objective measurements only. In fact the assessors were all blind, to absolutely preserve the purity of the process. They were not allowed to communicate at all. Or indeed enjoy the music in any way.

    Lampizator Gain Problem

Hi, I have a B7 with KR 242s and have the same problem. At some point I intend to go for The MK2 upgrades to resolve the problem. In the meantime I have used the software attenuation in Jplay Femto and RCA attenuation plugs. Both work well, but I prefer the plugs, which don't seem to lose...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Is there any evidence that Oaudio are trying to pass their card off as a Taiko, product? They have responded on here that they can supply proof of development time and that their card uses a different approach to Taiko. I can't see any Taiko customers mistakenly buying the wrong card for their...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Sorry a bit off topic, but can I ask a couple of questions about the JL Sounds USB board? Do Lampizator use the standard card? And you mentioned on a previous post that you had it professionally installed. How hard is it to do? Thanks

A silly serious question, sort of

slightly off topic, but my vinyl sound started to deteriorate before I noticed that Many of my records were getting mouldy. A record cleaning machine made them sound better than they ever had, but it took a long time to clean them. I hadn't been able to see the mould at first, but could...
