    Just purchased a Dynavector 17DX

The Karat 17DX is a totally new cart compared to it's previous models. I'm sure there are plenty of excellent carts out there. But I'm totally satisfied w/my Karat.

    Just purchased a Dynavector 17DX

This cart is on a different level. Much more detail on the secondary background instruments and voices. Extremely quiet. Surface noise on a properly cleaned record is very good. Just like the 20xl2 it took about 50 Hours to break in. If you like the Dynavector sound you'll get more of it.

    L550AX phono cartridge matching

I'd look at the Hanna Carts the EL series starts at $475 and the ES series is at $750. Also the Dynavector 10x5 High output MC cart.

    Just purchased a Dynavector 17DX

I'm getting it installed on Tuesday. It's going on my Luxman PD-171. The phono is in my Luxman CL38U SE. I'm wondering how long the break in period will be. This is an upgrade over my current Dynavector 20XL2.

Fantastic I'd like to hear your impressions.

    Luxman 509X and DA-06

The 509x is a big favorite. And it can compete w/the more expensive gear. Also they have a lot of fans w/the the 590 which is a 30 wpc class A integrated. It gives out a bit warmer sound. Luxman has since taking over USA distribution lowered prices and have been aggressive in bringing new...

    Luxman 509X and DA-06

The phono really sold me. When I demoed the 38 at home the first record I put down on my TT was Black Magic Woman. W/the CJ ET3-SE it always sounded flat. I blamed it on a poor pressing. W/the Luxman tube phono the music came alive. It took me about 30 seconds to determine I had to have this...

    Luxman 509X and DA-06

I'm curious if your going to use the balanced inputs. The SE doesn't have them. If you do; does it bring the sound to a higher level?

    Luxman 509X and DA-06

Congrats on the purchase! Should match up very nicely w/your Special 40's. The preamp runs rather cool. Not any warmer than most solid state units. you should get long life out of the tubes. In a recent Stereophile article on the new version of the Klipschorn Art Dudley tried 3 tube amps a 16K...

    Luxman 509X and DA-06

I've had the 38se for over a year and a half. The sound is clear and dynamic. The top end detailed and not harsh. Really improved the sound of Tidal. Right now I'm using a Bluesound Node w/a RME ADI-2 DAC. My Cambridge Audio 752 BD player is also hooked up to the RME. I have a Bryston 2.5 SST2...

    Luxman 509X and DA-06

I use a Cambridge Audio BD-752 universal player. Both the Cambridge Audio player and the Bluesound Node are hooked up to a RME ADI-2 DAC. However my favorite source is my Luxman PD-171A TT. I sold my outboard phono as the Luxman internal phono was much better.

    Luxman 509X and DA-06

The C-1000 all tube preamp is coming. It will be priced around 16K. Also recently heard the new Luxman SQN-150 integrated tube amp. Only about 11" wide. Has a built in SS MM/MC phono. Heard it w/a pair of Forte III's and a Clearaudio Concept TT. Just $2750 for the integrated. Also they have a...
