Sad ending. :(
I had food mild poisoning before driving to the airpot which is twoo hours drive.
Although I could take Uber instead of driving, I took a safe side.
Thus I will not attend Axpona this year.
The only good news is that I feel well now.
I wish other members have good time on it.

The undisputed winner of oddest loudspeaker at AXPONA was the $49k Orchestalls KMD 700R—a weird, multi-box, cone loudspeaker in which each of the boxes is individually articulated via the arms...
It is worth trying Line Magnetic 805 amp.
https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/new-line-magnetic-508ia-integrated-amp.542333/page-28
Lengthy discussion on the amp and tube rolling.
It will work well with your Tannoy speaker.
By the way I also enjoy Dave modified with Farad LPs.
It may be crazy to try 7k$ Shunyata Omega XC in front of Puritan psm 156.
But I am doing that righ now.
The result is breathtaking.
My system sounds so smooth and viloin sounds silky.
I also have Everest 8000 on home audtiion.
But it seems that combination of Shunyata Omega XC in front of...
If Munich work out for your busniss, it is fine.
It had been 24 years since I visited Munich last time on business to meet my client.
But this year I plan to visit Korea on May to see my newborn twin granddaughters and to attend opening ceremony of WE vintage audio museum on May 30th.
Maybe I...
You are not going to sell your stuffs in Europe.
Why five rooms at Munich?
Just for your ego?
You had better spend more time on Axpona since most of your customers are in US.
After watching this video, I was curious about Scaeana 3.2
Video could not convey whole scale and deep bass but if you have keen ear, you can catch the overall performance.
When I happened to see the listing for used Scaena 3.2, I jumped at it on Dec 2019
Funny thing is that I could not...
I had listened to M9 in Korea last Novermber.
The only missing part is I should have played some vinyl.
Ch Dac sounds slightly dry but not too bad.
But I enjoyed the sound for 1 and half hours going through the songs that I am familiar.
The video will not duplicate the real sound but could...
This one was taken in Korea last year.
You can feel the scale of the sound from his vintage WE horn system.
Although video can not duplicate exact sound, it is still nice tool to give rough idea.
Please ignore the ticking noise from turntable.
Hi
I do not mean that Puritan 156 is at the same level as Everest in general.
I had not tested Isotek thus no comment.
The best way is to do home audition with help of local dealer.
I had tried Shunyata Sigma XC cable in front of Puritan psm156.
Wow it removes slightly remaining hash and make my system sound more organic.
The bad news is that Sigma XC cable cost more than Puritan psm156.
I also had done home trial of Shunyata Everest.
Puritan give fuller sound while...
My version of the music.
My system is tri amped wtih active crossovers.
Main tower of Scaena is being dirven by Line Magnetic 508 SET fitted with vintage tubes.
How about Accaphela Apollon?
I took the video during Pacific Audiofest 2022.
They may need more room treatment but showed potential to be one of top horn speaker.

Threre is interesting review with awed face of wife...
Nice ones.
I had lived in Bay Area from 1982 to 1989.
During the time I enjoyed Thiel driven by Perraux pre and power amps.
Can I mix in as former resident of Bay area? ;)
I agree with you that it is tricky to set up Trio proper due to its size.
Duo that I had listened during Seoul Audiofest 2023 did sound decent but not worth the sticker price from my personal opinion.
Used Altec A7 could be better value.
I got mine at 700$ but crossed the Canadian border...

Another article on Ken Fritz.
I know there are some contoversy about his relation with family.
But I am really curious how it sounded.
Are there anyone who had listened to Ken Fritz's system in person?
If so what was your impression...
The only exception is to build nice audio museum with the collection.
On May 30th this year, Mr Chung of Silbatone will open Western Audio vintage museum in memory of his late father who passed 3 yeara ago with budget of 150 million USD
I will attend the opening ceremony at Seoul, Korea.:)
Afer you pass away, very few or none will remember your audio system.
The chance is high that it will be sold cheap and scattered.
But if you take nice photos and publish book, then the chance is higher to be remembered after your death.
Audio is very wasteful hobby.
Can I be kicked...
There are several rich people(with asset of 200 million $ or more) around me who had passed before 70 years old.
I would rather live 100 years than being super rich.
It is fun to try to get the nice sound with limited budget.
Thus I enjoyed column of Sam Tellig who is still active with his...
I had listened to Trio at Seoul, Korea two years ago.
Source was Aurender N30, MSB Select II.
Amp was Rotel Mitchi.
The room was large 40 wide 30 deep 15 ft high.
It sounds very dynamic with clarity and good details.
The only bothering thing to me is occasional hard edges.
It must be very...
Could you also bring one of your OTL amp?
I had chance to listen to your class D amp to drive Tekton Moab which sound decent.
But I had never listend to your OTL yet.
It would be intersting to compare between your Class D and OTL amps.
