I had a listen to the S3mk3 today at the HK dealer in Central.
To say I was impressed is an understatement. Luvely full rich bass that doesn't interfere with the mid-range and a detailed non agressive top end.
In the dealers nicely curated acoustically treated small room, honestly it was...
Not a good day today. My best friend Mark died last night. Bringing back some great memories with one of his fav albums.
Teenage Fanclub - Grand Prix. RIP Mark :(
Seriously :p . It's absolutely terrible digital and doesn't even sound like a real band or instruments. the previous 4 Dire Straits album all sound infinitely better than BIA.
YMMV
Ked, did you even read what I wrote? I didn't complain about the video. Yet boneheads here complained about the lack off bass. It would seem they don't even know the music they are complaining about.

LOL
the only thing laughable is anyone having any expectations of sound quality from a Canon camera's video.
If you think judging the system based on this video, you frankly are completely uninspired of any imagination unless you have heard it yourself .
I thought the only thing wrong with Ron's video was the abysmal choice of music and questionable video editing.
Dire Straits Brothers in Arms has no low bass, nor does the Dylan track, yet people were complaining about the lack of bass - LOL.
personally, if I never hear BIA album again...
look what just turned up via Fedex.
Keiji Haino / Jim O'Rourke / Oren Ambarchi – With Pats On The Head, Just One Too Few Is Evil One Too Many Is Good That's All It Is - 3LP set
Oren Ambarchi – Grapes From The Estate
Boris Blank – Resonance
Mac Miller – K.I.D.S. (Kickin Incredibly Dope Schiit) - one of the most fun listens I own. Play " The Spins" and you can't help but smile and move that body.
Elliott Smith – Heaven Adores You Soundtrack - wonderful album full of unreleased gems that accompanies a very good but ultimately sad movie about his life and struggles. RIP Elliott.
Damon Albarn – Dr Dee - 2012 - almost classical operatic style from Damon - It makes me feel like it's music from Robin Hood & Sherwood Forest - it's brilliant.
