Help me understand the Furutech lines... for Digital (AES / EBU): Is the Digiflux-NCF higher up than Digi Reference III? Thanks. Any idea for the retails pricing in US? Thank you
I have bought twice from Network Acoustics, both times direct (UK). You can use PayPal or credit card. Needless to say, the exchange rate ($ to UK Pounds) is a factor. So watch out. They do ship for free, FedEx, which was surprisingly extremely fast from UK, 2-3 days to here in East Coast.
I have dealt with Mark Schifter before with Core Power. The maker of EQUI=CORE, which was sold (I believe) to Underwood Wally a few years ago. The Core Power company I mean. I have not tried Puron, but based on my experience with him at Core Power, he is a very nice guy, very helpful, and very...
Here is a great USB cable at good price from the Music Room: https://tmraudio.com/accessories/digital-cables/synergistic-research-galileo-sx-usb-cable-1m-digital-interconnect/
Thanks for sharing!
Isn’t Hijiri way more expensive than Cardas Cygnus? A better Apple-to apples comparison would be Cardas Clear Reflections, or Clear, or Clear Beyond. Just a thought
Oh please. Who does not like a bargain. Money does not grow on trees. If a Dragon HC PC costs $5,500 for one meter MSRP, would it not make a lot more sense if bought at $2,750 used? Still a lot of money, but maybe more reasonable?
And I would never deliberately buy those Chinese Ali Express...
How is Hijiri working for you? Lots of hype on Audiogon forums from very reputable and experienced audiophiles, but very little information on Hijiri’s poorly written website. Thank you
How do you tell? Say the pricey power cords, Dragon or Firebird HCs bought used.
Audioquest has a link on the website about filling a cumbersome form, generating a number, and sending it over to California, but I don’t think it’s working. I filled one last week but never heard back
It's truly remarkable. However, it took a while to really break in and open up. I would say at least 50 hours, maybe more. I practically no longer hear any difference vs. my previous USB, the SR Galileo SX. The Mad Scientist Ultra USB is actually a bit more musical. Galileo maybe has a bit more...
I drove 2.5 hours each way yesterday to a dealer to audition the Perlisten S7t speakers. They were in a small untreated partition of the show room. Dual subwoofers, the top of the line d215s were available, but I asked the nice guy to disconnect the subwoofers. The gear was Audio Research vacuum...
I can only go by what I could find online from one of the Magico dealers near me:
https://www.overtureav.com/brands/speakers/floor-standing-speakers/magico/magico-m2/
https://www.overtureav.com/brands/magico-a5/
M2 is $76,500 a pair, and A5 $26,800 a pair. The top of the line Perlisten is now...
The 801 D4 is the new top of the line of B&W Diamond series. Just came out last year. Cannot possibly be discontinued.
If you are located in USA, plenty of B&W dealers. Including BB's Magnolia Design Centers
Who cares about the d-bugs overrunning ASR 2.0 (Roon Community Forums). To be fair, Roon folks (the company) keeps a neutral stance when dealing with the two groups of folks. Understandably so, as they in a business, and don’t want to piss off any group. Business is business. I would do the same...
Huh?? What particular measurements are you interested in and why? And how do those measurements relate to your listening preferences?
Curious minds want to know.
Full disclosure: I cannot afford Wadax or Vivaldi. Probably never will. I am just curious. My current DAC, the Esoteric N-01Xd is...
Easy peasy, right? We can all built awesome DACs from our basement, using parts from China on eBay . For a couple hundred bucks.
I will copy / paste below some wise words from the late Charlie Hansen of Ayre:

The thing that I see over and over and over in this thread is an irrational...
With the big success of the NPS from High Fidelity Cables, I bet many manufacturers will come up with something similar, perhaps “reverse engineering “ the NPS.
I know not the same thing, but I had been using contact enhancers, mainly on power cords for many years, before it was a thing. Simple...
