New R2R tapes of Jazz at the Pawnshop from AudioNautes

https://positive-feedback.com/reviews/music-reviews/reel-to-reel-tape/ Of the three JATP tapes that I’ve listened to, the recent Late Night reissue from 2XHD is the best. And that’s saying a lot considering the quality of the two AudioNautes releases (JATP 1/2).

"Long-Term Equipment Loans: A Win-Win for Everyone" by Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound

What's not clear here? I own everything in my system except for one set of cables.

"Long-Term Equipment Loans: A Win-Win for Everyone" by Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound

This is a requirement for all Positive-Feedback writers. All you need to do is click on the author’s name and a box should pop up with the reviewer’s reference system and which pieces are on loan and which pieces the reviewer owns. An example is included.

SAT XD-1 Turntable Debut at The Audio Salon

Having that much tonearm wire pulled out of the SAT arm tube is neither normal nor correct. Your setup person has pulled way too much wire out and that could conceivably affect the arm’s travel across the lp or at worst break the wire. Your setup person needs to get something like a pipe...

    Zellaton Plural Evo

Sorry none. That’s really the only spot in the room for the rack.Of course, the advantage here is keeping the IC runs as short as possible and keeping costs down. Can’t be too bad, though, given the sound. :)

    Zellaton Plural Evo

Just to be technical. The Podusz-Gorlich driver is not a Zellaton driver. The P-G is Gorlich's (who is related to the original Zellaton inventor) take on the Zellaton driver that is popular among the DIY crowd. It was also used in the Ensemble speaker. And another speaker that used a P-G driver.

Nice to hear from you David.. Geez that seems like another lifetime... Yes my pics and videos are always getting photobombed by one to three cats. They are the basic sandwich design save for a weave on top of the driver. Here's two closeup pics . One other thing worth pointing out is that...

    Zellaton Plural Evo

You realize the Plural Evos are a totally new design from Zellaton? There's way to much of the "I heard" going around. As far as the bass goes. The music we listened to speaks for itself.

The one we heard was the new Joe Policastro Vibes Quartet tape. (direct copy) Maybe the best Jonathan has done to date. The vibes are so energetic!

Yes but I don't think any of them though feature the new Goldmund Telos 300 amplifier (I might be wrong) or Transparent Audio Gen 6 cabling.

    New phonostage under $15K

For the record. Both Nick’s phonostage and the system have undergone significant upgrades since Ked’s visit 3 or so years ago. Special Announcement Regarding Reeltronix Reels

Just received some exciting news from Patrick Sinegal of Reeltronix. It appears that his new Reeltronix reels will be available in about four weeks. Patrick expects, if he can get 60 preorders (email at gideon1967@aol.com), that the “standard” reels will retail for $450. The price of the...

It's been four years since my review of Patrick Sinegal's superb looking and even better sounding Reeltronix reels appeared in the pages of Positive Feedback.
