The Grimm MU1 already includes a very nice Grimm Clock and does not allow the addition of an external clock source.
Regarding Grimm Master Clocks, they are outstanding products and are used widely in the pro-audio world.

You do not need to use the AES/SPDIF output on the MU1 to use the core.
Your Roon license allows you to connect to one Roon core. It doesn't care if the core is on a computer or an MU1. I have a number of customers who have a house full of Roon End Points, all utilizing the MU1 as the core. Of...
I think you are much better off upgrading your front-end network equipment to a "prosumer" level product like Ubiquiti. It will allow you to use software to direct and manage your network more effectively. Putting in 2 independent internet feeds still points both of them to your ISP networks and...
Just saw the press release on EAR.net. Scott is releasing his long awaited Ethernet noise control. We have been big fans of the CAD group so am excited to experiment with the device.
CAD Ethernet Control Announcement
I am a Vertere cable dealer and I can honestly tell you that the Redline is not in the same league as the HB series. I love the Redline cable, especially at its price, but the HB is very special. Someone mentioned the ethernet cable, we consider it the best cable we have ever heard on any of our...
I would recommend the Cambridge Audio MNX10 or AXN10 (full size/half size chasis). Price is $499.
Two main reasons: service is very good and their StreamMagic software supports spotify and is very well done.

might as well throw the Fyne people into the fray. They have a lot of experience in this area and I find their products to be outstanding.

guys, take a look at this unit. I have used their machinist products in the past setting up speakers and they work very well. It is quite accurate and allows you to look at your smartphone rather than a bubble on the table.
Digi-Pas 2-Axis Smart Cube Level
Can't forget the T+A PDT3100 HV. Outstanding build quality and one of the few that still builds their own drives. CD/SACD. They also have a couple of lower priced models.

also, I have heard that Ayon has some great transports. I can't confirm that but thought...
I have experienced it whenever there are static issues in the room (winter). Nothing major, quick a quick pop sound.
I am glad people are discovering this product. I love them and recommend them to my clients all the time.
Grimm audio posted a technical article of their new DAC design for the MU2 being shown at Munich. It appears to be a unique design that shares some of the advantages of single bit processing along with the advantages of PWM.

I use it for a few of our phono stages. Typically it goes to the Nagra Classic Phono, but I have also use the Phasemation EA-550, Gold Note PH-10 and Vertere Phono 1 in the past couple months.
the MU1 draws very little power and I recommend leaving it on to all my customers. As PYP says, it takes a while for the MU1 to warm to operating temperature so just leave it on. You can turn the display off from the Web app.
@Minnesotafats, I assume you are located in Minnesota? I had audio engineers design and build my main listening room and you are welcome to swing by to see it. It is a very unique design but most importantly, the sound is outstanding.

I bought a set of Audio Technica LH headshells (I think they retail for $89). Available in several weights so I can usually get any cartridge to work reasonably well on the Bokrand.
It currently supports only Roon. However, there is an update coming out in 2022 that allows it to be used with other controller software. I assume that means they will be adding UpnP/DLNA support.
