I thought the Diablo was ok until I compared it with the Humboldt and it was a world of difference.
As for the new gryphon, more than speculation, I think the Sasha are a different level than the entry level integrated, but I might be wrong.
As we say, we don’t know until we try
By juice I also mean grip and control, not only power
One of the speakers I had with the Diablo 300 was the magico A3 and it couldn't control the bass 100%.
Jumping to the Humboldt made it very obvious.
The difference between the old Diablo and the Humboldt was huge.
As for the price difference, the new Diablo is 25k$, I think the market for a second hand Humboldt in Europe is around 30k euros.
I'm actually selling mine since I moved and will build a new system from scratch, probably with the...
I don’t think the Diablo 333 will be refined enough and have enough juice for the Sasha.
if you want a cool integrated I’d look at the audionet Humboldt, I think it would be a good match, very liquid and very low noise, very detailed without imposing it.I had the Diablo 300 and upgraded to the...
Did you compare the super 3 to 10? What are you powering with the super 10?
What's your impression of it?
I have a super 3 powering a roon nucleus and contemplating ordering the 10
Apparently the issue is with the dealer and not with Farad.
Lead times seem to be about 2 weeks at the moment.
Has anyone tried one yet and can report?
Have you tried connecting the ground? or it's not necessary?
Did you make the starquad yourself?
I'm thinking of using the Canare 4S11

Are you also happy with the Viborg plug...
Thank you, it is helpful . I checked this one out, and I wonder how it compares with plixir elite, both of them being symmetrical types of power supplies.
I have two dedicated lines coming direct from the meter.
I used to have a double furutech wall socket but I now terminated each line with a furutech fi 50 iec plug, like this I get rid of the wall socket and 2 power cords and I found it to be sonically better.
One line goes into my audionet...
Yes, then I guess working with a better lpsu, dc cables and a clock makes more sense with the SOtM.
Adding ethernet cables is not necessarily a bad thing, I added two pink faun cables and I like the refinement that they brought.
No worries )
I don't know the sotm switches, you can connect them together by fiber?
My setup is lspu on isp router > ediscreation fiberbox > ediscreation switch > equipments (roon core / dac)
I tried the fiberbox after and preferred it in this order (upstream).
For me the fiberbox addition was...
maybe - maybe not - have you tried it?
The fiberbox uses a good quality power supply and clock (among other things) which I think makes a difference vs regular sfp's.
I used these two which are specifically made for in wall:

The oyaide is very very rigid, so keep in mind for installation, and it takes forever to break in, that being said it's a very good cable...
I don't think a single switch will be an upgrade over your 2 SOTM, however I think if you take the Ediscreation switch + Ediscreation fiberbox in tandem, it might better your two switches mostly because of the fiberbox. If you want to push things further, consider the two with external LPSU.
I...
I added a furutech dps 4.1 power cable with fi50 connectors to the super 3 and it brought a lof of quietness, noise reduction and increase in ambiance and micro dynamics and micro details, it's also a smooth and relaxed cable. I find it good for digital.
I wanted to try the diy mundorf cable...
You are overly exaggerating to prove your point.
You do not need to spend 300k$ to have a good digital system.
Here's what I spent for my digital + optimisations:
-1 decent LPSU for my internet box + qsa fuse 500 + a decent DC cable 100 + decent power cable 800 + 6 iso acoustics gaia graphite...
Yup, my experience too. I bought a couple of Pink Faun ethernet cables and I really like them. They really opened up the soundstage and 3d.
You can try to put isoacoustics orea graphite below them too, I use them below all my components and the cumulative effect is nice for a reasonable price.
I...
I'm saying people dismiss digital as a dog with rabies.
When you want to dismiss something, you come up with all the problems it has instead of looking at the flip side.
I'd like to both share my experience and make this an appreciation post.
I started building a new system from scratch a bit less than 3 years ago that was meant to be completely digital.
It was quite a challenge to put together in covid times and being in a region with not so many dealers, let...
If I can recommend something - if you decide to buy the ediscreation switch, buy the ediscreation fiber box as well, the two in tandem are really good and they both bring different things to the table.
I haven't compared them in tandem to other switches but I did compare the ediscreation switch...
