Thanks to thedudeabides I called the number he listed above and actually got a live PayPal agent after fighting through a bunch of automated messages. He was very helpful and explained why my money was on hold and would remain on hold for another 2 weeks unless the buyer went into his PayPal...
I made an Audiogon sale last week and the buyer wanted to use PayPal. I haven’t used it in years. Everything went smoothly. I uploaded Fed ex tracking info and PayPal said they would release funds within a day of my buyer receiving his goods. It’s now 3 days later and they’re saying the...
Amazing little box Ken! Installed it this week with their new SX power cord. Hardly has any time on it but what it's doing for me is pretty terrific. I was using an old Richard Gray unit for extra outlets to connect my Playback Designs CD player, which I hadn't listened to in over a year, my...
$11,000 + install, it's the 90A version with AVR and TVSS options. But for me it was worth every penny. Electrical problems around me had rendered my system unlistenable. I tried every Shunyata, Audience and a couple of other conditioners I can't remember, but they would only mask the problem...
My system became unlistenable for a long time until I installed one of these. All of my problems were solved after a very prolonged search for the culprit.
Had the 810 in my system about 18 months ago, with the 850P preamp. Excellent, I was very impressed. Liked it at least as much as the Pass Xs pre/XP25 pair I had at the time. I could have easily lived with the combo.
I had an XP30, an Xs Pre and now have an ARC Ref10. My first choice would be the Ref 10 and there is one listed for $17K on Audiogon, but unfortunately it's in Amsterdam. I wouldn't touch it for that reason but that's me. The other great choice is Mad Floyd's Xs at an incredible price. You'd be...
The Velcro is really for temporary placement. Once you've decided where you want to permanently place them, they have a solid metal hanging system which secures them in place nicely.
I don't get it but another nice call Mike.
I bit and bought the NCF covers this week to go with the NCF outlets installed last year. I'm amazed that I'm hearing overall improvements across the board from new outlet covers! And I had the original Furutech covers so it's not like I was starting...
I went through a few racks, Finite, not Grand Prix but I looked at and listened to CMS.
Before deciding on the HRS, I had a Steve Blinn rack and had all equipment on Stillpoints Ultra 5s. I thought I was getting fairly good performance until the HRS was installed. It's a lifetime piece as far...
And he did it when it mattered most. He completely took over in the 4th quarter and was making incredible play after incredible play on the offensive end. There was nothing easy. OKC would have lost by 20 without him last night.
I have to agree with Harlequin earlier in the thread. While already an excellent preamp, the ARC REF10 preamp jumps another level when you sub in the GE 6550A's. Great upgrade! Works for the REF10 Phono too.
The REF10 and Pass Xs preamp were close in my system with a slight nod going to the...
Absolutely no need to apologize. I've read similar opinions since the speaker was introduced in 2010. I think the damn things are beautiful but what do I know.
Good luck in your search.
Can't imagine anyone with a proper room and $80,000 or so to spend on a speaker not jumping on these. Refrigerator on legs might be a bit harsh. I've been looking at them for 5 years and really like the way they look in my room but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I happen to have the Coralstone on the arm presently but all the Goldfinger talk has me wanting to make the switch. It has been at least a few months. Only thing is I have the Coralstone dialed in as well as I've ever heard it and I hesitate to screw with it right now. I guess it's not the worst...
Now I switch between them every 3 or 4 months. Thought about a second arm but haven't felt the need to move on it.
To me, Goldfinger has more detail, more dynamic, better bass. Coralstone is sweeter, smoother, better midrange. Better in this case being my opinion and what appeals to me. I'm...
