I would think so but it's above my skill level. I find my self rebooting to another version just to marvel at the difference and wonder why. It's a subtle thing but so pervasive as to permeate the entire performance.

According to Mac Tracker, the 2010 MBP came equipped with 10.6.3 and can go up to 10.13.6. Thanks to the work of SeeTeeYou, that means you could download a copy of 10.8.2 to an external disc, thumb drive or SD Card and give it a spin.
