Introducing Olympus & Olympus I/O - A new perspective on modern music playback

Kudos to Taiko. 50 orders pre launch. That is an impressive rolodex of wealthy audiophiles that have significant trust in Team Taiko. I am sure that is more than justified, Are the majority (all) of orders XDMI…? That might explain limited I/O orders for current Extreme owners given...

Taiko Audio XDMS - Extreme Direct Music Server Software

I believe they are pausing installs for a few days until they get more capacity.

Introducing Olympus & Olympus I/O - A new perspective on modern music playback

Would be curious as to where you think the XDMI analogue outs rank (although I appreciate that is somewhat controversial topic). I believe you said before it was modestly better than a Dragonfly Red and would be priced appropriately ;-)

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

After ordering the Router and Power distributor back in the first week of May it has been a very long wait for me. But finally received and installed today. A mixture of impatience and nervousness while waiting as user feedback over the last month or two was (at least initially)… low key? I...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I ordered early May and they shipped earlier this week so awaiting delivery. It’s felt like a long time!

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I would caution about raising relative value benefit too much ($20k DAC… $30k etc) until AFTER we have bought from Emile :p:p

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

This is exciting. A silver lining of supply chain challenges is being able to access new battery chemistry / technology. Kudos to Taiko for being agile enough to change options in the pursuit of a superior customer solution.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

There is a video for USB card installation on the Taiko website. Is the process for the network card materially different or is this a useful starting point?

    Tidal Intra Stereo Amp

Congrats on the upgrades. I have heard great things about the Contros. Are you keeping the Prisma (for phono?) or using the Contros as preamp? Great system.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

One might consider that the improved SQ from Taiko XDMS / Switch / Router etc would make any other changes in the system more obvious and potentially “truthful” (in the sense of scale of change / colouration imparted or not)? If Team Taiko are stripping away noise / artifacts then other changes...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

An amazing few days on this thread. Clearly the last few years of supply chain issues have eased enough to unlock a huge amount of product development that is in some ways as bewildering as it is impressive. Congrats to the Taiko Team that is now able to bring to market a lot of hard work. I...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Ed has kindly set me up with XDMS and I have managed an hour or so of listening. A very nice step forward from Roon. Much has been said already but I think my key summary would be an apparent lowering of the noise floor. This enhances dynamics and engagement in the music. Well done Team...

LFD Cables (phono and I.C.) from the UK, cables as components

This is a fascinating thread. Thanks to all contributors. I think an earlier post referred to an LFD product / price list. Is there a more up to date version somewhere or where is best to find out more on LFD cables for various applications (AC / IC / SC)? Apologies if this is a diversion...

You need to go to the app store and update your apps to 2.0 build. I had the same thing with my iPhone. Updating fixed the issue.

    Aqua LinQ

thanks for the valuable insights. Any other experiences with LinQ Vs other streamers? I have a narrow window before I need to make a decision. And if i do sounds like bocchino rca is the way to go!!!!

    Aqua LinQ

Would be very curious about folks thoughts on the LinQ both in combination with non Aqua DACs and the Aqua Formula. Thinking about this combo or perhaps the LinQ as a first step with my current DAC.

    Tidal Intra Stereo Amp

Hi, Great perspectives. Can I clarify that you thought the “Intra” was warmer than the Ferrios (your post states Prisma which I think is a Tidal pre-amp)? On the flip side you state fronted by Contros all-in-one rather than Intra pre-amp - did you mean Prisma pre-amp? Thanks and apologize if...

    Gryphon announcement!

Thanks for the fantastically full and generous response. Much appreciated and congrats again. I think the Kalliope is very underrated but there is always better and I have been thinking about adding CD into my system!!! Enjoy in good health.

    Gryphon announcement!

Congrats on a fantastic system. I am a Kalliope owner too (not many of them around it would seem) so very interested in your experiences in moving to the Ethos. Are you using the Ethos just as a DAC (streaming) or mainly for discs? Did you look at other options? Many thanks for any insights.
