Super3 - a supercapacitor LPS, by Farad Power Supplies

I think Farad sells cables with GX-16 connectors. Myself, I just switch my Super3s off when I leave for a few days. Then I switch off everything. Who wants having all connected, being away, with possibilities of thunderstorms.

    My Pinkfaun 2.16 ultra experience

I have not tried the PF power cords. I asked them about length and the answer was “we don’t recommend less than 150 cm”. Standard length is 200 cm. In my setup 150 or 200 cm would be too long. A cable of 100 cm is what I need. Cables …… takes place…. i am not the one who one who takes home...

    My Pinkfaun 2.16 ultra experience

Thanks, power cords …. Dragons. More than 5000 for a meter. No doubt it’s a more than great cable but 50 Euro per centimetre? I told myself maximum 3000 for a power cord. Even that I think is expensive. My wife thinks it’s stupid but hear the difference .I never take a home demo of something I...

    My Pinkfaun 2.16 ultra experience

I have the AQ Cinnamon and the AQ Forest. The Forest is now between the Router and the Laser printer. The Cinnamon is not used. I tried them between the streamer and, what I had then, two Cisco 2960 switches but found in my setup that the AQs were not giving a clear sound. Dull. The comparison...

    My Pinkfaun 2.16 ultra experience

Fikin, what you say make a lot of sense. We have just finished our late lunch and now sitting in front of my loudspeakers listening to music. I invited my wife who is not an audiophile but has better ears than me to make a trial. My setup is ER -> Melco N1Z -> ADOT -> S100 PF -> streamer...

    My Pinkfaun 2.16 ultra experience

Switches……. True a lot to read and a lot of opinions….. i started with a 2960. Then replaced it with an ER. Then added a Super3 to the ER. Bought the Chord EE8. Did not find it better than the ER. More the opposite. Felt it was still more to do so I went for what at that time was seen as one...

    My Pinkfaun 2.16 ultra experience

No, not as far as I know. PF is not recommending Melco S100 as a switch. I am fairly sure they are neutral in switches. The reason I went for the PF modified S100 where all positive comments on WBF. I bought the ”complete“ package from PF. PF sourced the S100 themselves. They provided also the...

SFP/FMC/Optical cable - The only important ethernet cable?

I will ask him but as I understand, it’s just the normal noise in the signal coming with the transferred Ethernet data. That’s, I guess is why good Ethernet cables even with fibre still are important. And switches. From Wikipedia.”Galvanic isolation is a means of preventing DC and unwanted AC...

I am as far as it can to be an expert in this feld but was told the following..If i understand right you are inline with an expert in the field I had contact with. I quote what he wrote back to me. ”When there are noise on the Ethernet signal, the noise will be concert to optical as well...

SFP/FMC/Optical cable - The only important ethernet cable?

I fully agree with you that power supplies, DC and AC power cords upstream makes a difference. In your personal experience did that also include Ethernet cables upstream?

SFP/FMC/Optical cable - The only important ethernet cable?

Torben, interesting subject. I have no technical skill so can not add reliable thoughts but adding one question. Not sure it’s relevant but it has been in my mind for a while. Can a high end Ethernet cable prior the optics add something else in quality compared to a stock one which will follow...

    Miele Triflex HX1 Cordless Vacuum

We are also a huge fan of Miele. A few years ago we redid completely our kitchen. Everything Miele. Oven with steam, a microwave combined with a normal oven, dishwasher, induction 3 phases and their vacuum “box”. Vacuum is a good way to cook as well as with steam. Nevertheless we took “cold”...

Plixir Statement LPS : I bought this flagship grade LPS just now.

Looks like good power cords. More expensive than my choice as I need to add the 21% in sale tax. Is it sold and delivered by a Belgium company? Just curious as pricing is in USD. CE certification?

Plixir Statement LPS : I bought this flagship grade LPS just now.

I have also understood that 2 meter is better than 1 meter. I have started to upgrade my power cords. Not so difficult to find something better than my three Naim power lines. My friends are using Chord Music but more than 6000 Euro for one meter is too much. And 2 meters is just insane. At...

Plixir Statement LPS : I bought this flagship grade LPS just now.

A question about the RedLine prior I buy the Furutechs. RedLine is a two meter cable. In my setup a 1 meter cable would be perfect. My wife for some reason is not keen on as she says “the red construction colour“ Have you tried cutting the RedLine in two parts? One meter each. if not your best...
