Great write up there.
My experience at Soundheights back in 2021 was an unforgettable one. I have no Japanese, Hiroomi the owner and his dad have very little english. But we got by. An outstanding collection of exotica could be found in their shop. Koetsu were barely mid range in cost compared...
Beautiful. Out of interest as I have same cartridge, mine does not have threaded mounting holes. I am sure I can see a nut in your picture so is yours the same?. Reason I ask is that on the Koetsu Facebook page there are owners who seem to think that all the newer made models have threaded...
I am using the new Koetsu SUT with the urushi tsugaru. No complaints yet, just enjoying the music that I am hearing. It is simply designed, just in/out with bespoke transformers inside.
I have a recent urushi tsugaru. It has smooth mounting holes. I know other owners have threaded ones.
What's others experience with that?
Threaded or smooth?
Similar words could have been said back in mid 80s when cd was making its mark. Yet here we are again listening to vinyl and cd is old hat.
Is streaming the next format that will finish off all others (for a few years until next big thing?)
Hi, I'm a new member from ireland and have already posted a couple of messages before this. Currently have a koetsu urushi tsugaru with the koetsu sut in my system. Been into hifi for many years and went back to vinyl from cd in about 2005. . Liking this forum a lot.
cheers

New to this forum and seeing this. The boxes are all the same size as far as I am aware, The wood is very light, that might be the give away if it was fake.
As all are handmade, none are identical so post more pictures
Hi,
I recently purchased this and use it with an urushi tsugaru. Its a very understated exterior design but sounds outstanding. I assume its all about the inner design.
