    New Cart on the way

Thank you guys. So I have been reading about TT mats, and have been running both of my tables with Acrylic platters. I prefer the sound that way. From what I have read, the Acrylic platter is the best way to play vinyl.

    Audiophile Fuses

I took my volt meter, and determined the flow path through the power cord to each piece of gear when I installed the fuses. I followed the hot or line conductor if you will and all of my orange fuses went in the correct way according the SR site. it should flow from the S to the R side of the...

The best plug in filter ever!

I have to say, just by adding the dedicated 20 amp cut for my system actually made the soundstage wider. I have noticed that when I listen to a large classical orchestra, or a Jazz selection. The sound stage changes with the recording. Some songs I can now hear guitars off to the wings that I...

Is Your Loudspeaker Perfect For You?

The basement system was a complete headache the room is where frequencies go to die. I removed 80% of the drop in ceiling tiles and replaced them with reflective tiles, that made a big improvement. The amp is a Sugden IA-4 integrated amp, I am in love with Sugden class A sound. I tried every...

Is Your Loudspeaker Perfect For You?

My journey has been an interesting one, I have built 2 systems at the same time in 2 completely different environments. This has taught me a lot about room materials and size and dynamics. The main floor listening room was the easiest of the 2, the room is 13x21 with an 8 foot ceiling, Large...

WireWorld silver eclipse 8 Speaker cables.

No there is nothing available around here to try. When I saw these for sale for 50% off and only being 1 year old I grabbed them. WireWorld pairs well with Sugden and Dynaudio. I am very happy with the results.

WireWorld silver eclipse 8 Speaker cables.

The More i play this system, the better it starts to sound. It seems different each time. I guess cables do take time to break in. The Wireworld cables have helped get me where i want to be in the end. I am so blown away by everything i have done, seems to have been in the correct direction. I...

WireWorld silver eclipse 8 Speaker cables.

Well things changed. I saw a pair used online, they were priced right, so I could not pass them up. They are a nice musical cable. The music is more bold and pronounced now. The waiting is the hardest part.

I waited 8 months for my Sugden mono blocks. When they got to mine, they took a week to build and a week to ship. The nice thing, is they are still hand built. Worth the wait.

    New speakers.

Well this happened this afternoon. My Confidence 20's are gone and I am now the proud owner of the 30's. The difference between the 2 speakers is very noticeable. Going from a 2 way bookshelf which is a fine fine speaker, to a 3 way floor stander is just a thing of beauty. Very dynamic, very...

    Dedicated line doubt

I have a 30 foot run in my house from the outlet to the breaker box. Yours will be 65 feet. not a big deal, be little to no voltage drop in that distance. I installed my self, a 20 amp square D- QO breaker, #12 NMD90 wire, and a Cardas 4181 receptacle. From the plug, I ran a WireWorld Silver...

The best plug in filter ever!

I wont name drop because i don't want to tick off a manufacturer by saying their product wasn't great. I bought a component style power conditioner, and was very pleased with it. So i bought a second one for my basement system. As time went on i was curious about what was inside, so off one of...

What is the benefit of very expensive DACs?

My journey has taught me that the DAC is the meat and potatoes of the digital source. I messed around with a $400 DAC, then a $1000 DAC the sound improved. Then made the jump to an Aqua La-Voce S3 DAC. And that has been the end game. I then Stepped up to an Audiolab 6000 CDT. was a vast...
