No worries. I've not heard the Woody Shaw record you cite, but in general I abhor DMM mastering. By in large they sound screechy and threadbare when compared to the same title cut from lacquer.- puroagave

ART 27A driving Quads
The 57s were designed for 15 wpc, rebuilt speakers with clamping boards there is no problem going higher. The 63s, to me, sound dead with less than 100 wpc. Again, with updated zenner clamp boards you can safely run 63s harder w/o risk of arcing the panels. I'm on my 6th pair of 57s and owned 2...- puroagave

Help with LS35a stands
I presently use 24" high stands with my Falcons. Listening with your ear just above the tweeter axis is not detrimrntal, it actually smoothed out the response in my case. YMMV and all that.- puroagave
