The last time I checked, the Valvo came from the Siemens factory. The difference can then only relate to the year of production and the margin. But perhaps I am wrong in my assumptions.
Dear Aries Cerat community. I'm the proud owner of a lovely Genus and am quietly and secretly reading along here. Quick note: Depending on where you live, the Belgian distributor is currently selling his Kassandra II Signature.
Best regards

Meanwhile, I can answer my own question. Price of the Protos will be 24K (in Germany). Released in Q4 of 2023. Power output: 2 x 20 W / 8 Ohm.
Grettings from Mr. Analog
Dear friends,
I have been doing some research on the "entry level" devices from Aries Cerat. I was able to find out that there are several variants of the Genus:
1) Genus 845 = integrated amplifier with Elrog 845 tubes.
2) Genus 813 = integrated amplifier with NOS 813 tubes
3) Genus 813P =...
Can anyone tell me anything about the "lifetime" of the Elrog 845 tubes in Genus?
I am aware that it depends maybe on the bias setting and care in handling. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to know what follow-up costs can be expected over the years.
Thanks and best regards
