Good to know, thank you. I ordered the Tempus Friday. The NA web site showed it had a month back order, so was surprised to see Fed Ex show up at my door this morning with my Tempus.
I have not tried rebooting, will give it a try. I just received my Tempus switch and plan to install it tomorrow. Anyone experiencing break in improvement over days or weeks? I’m at 12 days of music time. I’m waiting for that leap up in performance that generally occurs with digital front ends...
I’m at 300hrs. Things are improving, clouds are separating. Next, I will be trying different vibration control shelving, footers and a new switch. Noticed you have an SR switch. I found that placing a Shakti Stone on the SR switch more than doubles its performance, really pretty startling...
Initially, I looked at photo on the order page and the umbilical looked really short, then I re-reviewed the specs and found it's a 1m long, so I will be able to separate them onto individual shelves.
I've ordered the Tempus. I'm lost about how to install it when the Tempus and Power supply combined width is 20". My equipment shelves are 18” wide. And the umbilical power supply cable is too short to allow to separate to a higher or side by shelf. Usually, power supplies shouldn't be stacked...
The Mu2 is installed. Over the first 72 hrs it has flipped from good at one listen than not so engaging on the next. I’ve always waited a month to create a final opinion. Most every DAC and streamer Ive owned, required a lot play to fully develop and the Mu2 has the additional analog preamp to...
All is well, no toes stepped on, I’m just nervous about Roon from my prior history with it. I’m definitely hoping that you are on the right thought line, that Grimm does a special implementation with Roon. My Mu2 should be arriving in several days. I will be happy if Grimm sounds at least sounds...
It’s not an baseless assumption that Roon might not have been the best sonic OS for Grimm to use. At this junction, no other OS options can be run with the Grimm servers.
This wasn’t a “jump to conclusion” or an off the cuff observation, especially light of the testimonials from nearly all of...
I’ve had Innuos streamers for year and have always clearly preferred the sound from their Sense app over Roon. Can the MU2 run with a different OS other than Roon. Will Grimm produce their own OS?
I did look up the RME ADI-2 specs. I found decibel levels, but not voltage output information. I noticed a 6db increase from its balanced outputs, over the single ended but no clear voltage number.
I was very interested in purchasing the i50 amplifier until I found out, balanced inputs beyond 2v are not compatible with the i50. Most every DAC that has a fully balanced design, sounds best from its balanced output and nearly all have normal out voltages over 3volts. The i50 is not even...
I have read that a switch installed upstream in a network (before the Acoustics Muon Pro) needs to have data capacity beyond 100MB. If I recall correctly, someone from Network Acoustics advised an owner of a Innuos PhoenixNet switch to pass on a purchase of a Muon Pro. Apparently the Innuos...
It would require more bytes than my arthritic fingers are comfortable typing, to fully detail what I have heard between different Ethernet cables. Here are few comparisons, as I recall.
The first three cables were auditioned over three years ago, and not likely current.
Supra: can not...
I have a dealer friend that sells DCS, Ayre and other high end digital front ends. He mentioned that for years he’s hasn’t found a better Ethernet cable than the Transparent Ethernet. I’ve compared it with a number of well regulated cables referenced on the WB site and I haven’t heard a better...
To be totally fair to the N20, my Pulsar and Zenith MKII Se were alway the used together with the PhoenixUSB. The Pulsar -PhoenixUSB combination retails at near 12k.
I also ran the N20 in critical listening mode and used the WireWorld Platinum Eclipse 8 for AES/EBU and a StereoLab S/PDIF...
I had an N20 in my system prior to my Pulsar. At that time, I wanted internal file storage and an upgrade beyond the Zenith MKIIse on the shelf sitting next the N20. I ran in the Aurender for over a month to fully breakin and tried the all the outputs, each connected with a well regarded...
Daniel Weiss, “I suggest you get a 9V supply which can supply up to 1.5A”
James Soh, “ The 9v 4amp PS will sound better than the 9v 2amp unit for your application”
Based on that feedback I purchased the 9V 4A. Here is my experience:
I had modest expectations for the Pixar power supply, I wasn’t...
I tried a variety of USB and I was impressed enough with AQ Diamond to keep it for 3 years. I read about the Sablon 2020 cable and it turned out to be a clear sonic upgrade that was apparent after a few minutes of auditioning. Last year I purchased EVO. After a week of (necessary) break in I was...
I had a Zenith MKIIse. Many Innuos supporters felt the SE sounds better the MK3. I made comparisons over the long long breakin period of my Pulsar to confirm the differences. The Pulsar brought a seismic lift in swagger, ease, refinement, musical life and communication. The Pulsar improved on...

I've been told that, audiophile fuses have more accurate specification tolerances, and more likely to blow, therefore up the fuse rating a couple amps . Music Traveler had his 3.15 blow immediately upon turn On. How does one, factor in a safety margin on the fuse with higher amperage rating.
What is the voltage and amperage rating of your Elite? I’m hesitant about doubling the fuse size, but I am almost more worried about blowing a 3.15 A Master fuse $600 when I turn it on.
Was the SR fuse that blew, the 3.15 rated fuse?
Quoting James here; “You can get for your application, the 3.15Amps Slow Blow type 20mm x 5mm for the 4Amps / Statement BDC power supplies and the 2.5Amps slow blow type if for the 2Amps power supplies”. I would hate to blow a Master Fuse, ouch.
