I am with Bobvin. Maybe a dozen sold/for sale worldwide over the last six years. Some are the early passive version 30+ years old. Can't comment on resale value, not enough data, and many different models.
Shunyata is releasing this as an companion to the Denali to bring the performance up close to or the same as the Everest. It may do the same for the Triton v3. It will have an umbilical to hook up to an outlet and have two outlets of its own. Price $5500
What are the advantages of the XC over the NR on preamps? That is sort of the opposite of what the Shunyata web site and Richard recommends. The web site (and Richard)says use the NR on preamps and the XC is for power distributors.
The 6dj8 I was refering to was the one Pumacat mentioned in his thread on the First sound. The 5670 plus adapter is a direct substitute that works well. Maybe not the flavor some may like, but a good tube.
I had Emmanuel do that update two years ago. It was so good that it began my journey of upgrades with Shunyata cables and the Everest. Highly recommended. My question is do you need the really high grade NR cables with this upgrade?
I am looking for information on the new Shunyata Hydra Typhon T2 which is a companion component to the Denali and maybe others to add to the performance. I know it is projected to be released in a couple of months.
