After all….. what is (or was) High End?
Sitting in Front of
Real Thing Reproduction
well …. I guess, a lot of listeners would spend their wife for those in half a second …No longer available
but of course there are differences, too
the WE are a class on their own, the Lansing...
The FM Phono is not strong from gain.
(Probably it is compensated with their preamp from input sensitivity)
I think, you should use high output cartridges with it.
It is by far the very best sound of show. Not only Rock, also delicate performances with singer and chorus - holy night - in low volume was unbelievable good. Even from CD or USB….
After that i went to Nagra with the big Wilsons and it was slow, boring, dead reproduction from whatever some...

Huh….. some pics …. i think, the era from H.Ford (you can have any color as long it is black ...) Design is history
Gray
Black Metallic
Silver
Titan Grey
Titan Dark
*Sniff*, no Hammertone grey ...
Probably this silver color will make the table sound bright. Anthracite probably a bit dark
Decisions … decisions …. probably there will be a stealth color option …
Part II of 2 + minutes
... and now ... my personal recommendation for people I don't like
Finally...my personal highlight was
the Argentinian Steakhouse downtown after the Show ...Skol!
It is - for me - entertainment and - for others - business.
3 Audiophiles ... 3 opinions ... as usual .. each his own ..as long they don't charge me for leaving the room below 2 minutes ... i am fine :)
Some impressions from 2 + minutes
Kawero
You can't be without it ......?
My condolences to his family and friends.
Never had personal contact but listening to his units the first time was a turning point into real thing audio reproduction for me.
His unique ability to design real thing tonality will stay forever in every glowing tone listening to his units
Ready for comparisons, today I made it with the Royal Ballet 1. Reissue 180 gr from Classic Records and a Original Soria Royal Ballet, Decca recording for RCA ... first calibrated with Sutherland Timeline Strobe ... Speed is spot on
The differences are not subtle, the Soria sounds like the real...

....have you ever gone to a concert before the music starts and as you walk into the auditorium itself, notice the sound of the hall itself that is so "alive" that the ambience hits you in the face with its presence? It's all around you and has a specific feeling of "realness", of "being there"...
Yes
Based on that fact, the first reissue is the one to go for (when done right… for example classic records first run 180gr)
The originals get the ok from the artists when the mastering is done … so that one is authentic, all others are something else …. Shifting / boosting frequencies are not...
Another move ...

Well, my whole life I enjoyed listening to music. For me the human voice is the real 'magic' of recorded music. The human voice and the fact, that 40 years ago, there were made the best and most fascinating recordings of all time, amaze me every time when I listen to my records. So the system is...
One of the Golden Age
The soundtrack, like everything else about the movie, was over the top. "The legend is that the original master tape had 'mad' levels on it," says Harry Pearson, editor and publisher of the audiophile bible Absolute Sound and, by general consensus, the person most...
Oh, it was done more than 10 years ago, it still sounds like a Lamm amp but with more of everything. A lot of different things ...
All on Vibraplanes, the Omnigon Preamp is very reliable and still the best preamp I ever listened to. I own some Lamm stuff as backup but didn‘t use it for years ...
I own a serious modified Lamm ML2.1 ...I had a time where I thought about ML3 ..but when listening to it, that one was not able to tell me anything new in any range so I still stay with that 2.1...it has a high frequency headroom which is a class of its own (straight, fast, full in volume...)
