The cars you have loved, or are in love with. Tell us your car history and what each one taught you

The 1955, 1956 and 1957 Chevy's are referred to as shoebox. Back in the 60's they were inexpensive to modify for stop light racing.

The cars you have loved, or are in love with. Tell us your car history and what each one taught you

One of my first cars was a ' 55 shoebox. Beginning to think few people today know what that is.

Does anyone float their branch circuit ground to a non bonded ground rod

Not to steel the thread; I run a ground wire from the turntable through a couple of walls to my water main to drain off static. It helps.

Does anyone float their branch circuit ground to a non bonded ground rod

I have a friend and a brother in law who do this. Note: both have dedicated lines to their kits.

Which Record (Vinyl) Brush (Best) Do You Use And Your Technique How

Who turned me on to this? A member of the Toronto audio club, who is also a dealer. I have a LED light above my table that shows every spec of dust. The carbon hair brushes cannot compete with the Swiffer for dust removal. I have been using the Swiffer for a couple of years now with no ill...

Which Record (Vinyl) Brush (Best) Do You Use And Your Technique How

Using the 'Swiffer', cleans your vinyl when new, dust your gear when it wears (replacing monthly). Buy the unscented no name.

How do you clean your stylus?

Interesting thread. I have used an old dependable brush from an electric razor I bought in the early seventies, a carbon fiber brush from Discwasher (yup I am an old fart), an Ortofon carbon brush, Onzow and Magic Eraser. My hands are not steady therefore I do not like any cleaning method that...

Will you be Attending an Audio Show in the Near Future? What will it take?

Cancelled my hotel room and tickets for Axpona in April/August 2020. Moved both reservation and show passes to 2021, even then?

Albums You Always Listen To Front To Back?

'Bowie's Glastonbury 2000', six sides that always draw me in. Be a lie to say I listen to six sides everytime but the majority of the time would be accurate. I like this LP set enough that I refuse to play them often for fear I will wear off the shear enjoyment. They need time specifically...

Do we as audiophiles hear things "differently" from other listeners?

No head phones, but I do have a hand drill and for larger holes I use a brace and bit. I am not a carpenter, I simply have my father's old tools to maintain my home. Like my father I only buy a tool when needed around the house. With today's C&C machines I wonder why more loudspeakers do not...

Do we as audiophiles hear things "differently" from other listeners?

GT Audio Works stated: I can clearly recall at an early age exploring my grandfathers workshop, fascinated by all the hanging tools and the myriad of jars and those old dovetailed wooden cheese boxes full of nuts, bolts, screws etc. Do not recall you seeing my work shop GT although you...
