Great post Peter. Your description resonated with me because while I love my system mass is lacking. I was never able to describe the shortcoming, but mass as described is perfect.

    LDMS Server

I have been the very happy owner of the LDMS server for over a year. I have been unequivocally satisfied with its performance, but Lucas reached out to me saying there was an update to the server. He installed the update this morning and this great server is even better. Soundstage, detail...

Hiring an external professional to tweak/optimize our audio systems?

I had the pleasure of having Stirling Trayle set up my system (Soundlabs, Berning, Spiral Groove table, Spectral CD player) moments before the pandemic hit full force. Everything you read in prior posts about Stirling is spot on. His process is fascinating, if you have the time to observe you...

211 valves: please share your experiences

I have a ANJ Ongaku built by Kondo San. The best tubes are the RCA’s, they are getting very hard to obtain. United’s are nearly impossible. NOS GE’s are very good, but not in the RCA category. I have no experience with modern 21’s.

LA HAVE AVAZA single driver coaxial.

Yes, I have heard of them. Their website leaves much to be desired, but their speakers are beautiful and apparently very lifelike reproducers. They pair well with Berning electronics, this is how I became interested in them.I currently use the Zotl preamp and Quadrature Z's in my system. Your...
