In what country did you buy the Denali? And what dealer?
Perhaps you have an imitation, "fake" Denali ?
The Denali is made from an all steel and aluminum chassis and faceplate.
As you know that is a subjective question and if you asked 10 different people you get 10 different responses. If you look at the specifications and features of the Denali v2 it is very clear it is a formidable performer compared to any power conditioner on the market.
Each, individual outlet...

You want to perform the ASCC test. You will need to make an adapter so that you can connect the tester directly to the wall outlet bypassing any intermediate power cord, including the one supplied with the tester.
There are many “hybrid integrated” type devices today. Some are network connected music servers that have what is essentially a dedicated computer and internal SSD or hard drives and a DAC. My rule is that if the device has any analog component to it - then connect it to the Denali. This means...
As a general principle: It is best to separate computer related devices from your audio equipment. Separation both in physical space and electrically.
The absolute crap that computers, wifi, routers, monitors and disc arrays spew into the air and onto the power line is astonishing. This is...
Well my friend, I would ask other creditable and knowledgeable people about balanced and unbalanced connections and the possible effects on hum problems. IMHO, I would do a simple test with good XLR cables and see what you get. It wouldn’t hurt to try it. Any good dealer should have some used...
I would NOT float grounds especially to the digital processors.
Unless you have an obvious audible problem.
Many digital devices use the chassis (earth) ground to dissipate noise.
I have yet to encounter any digital device that needed the ground lifted.
Some amplifiers need the ground...
If possible move the WiFi and ether switch to a different AC circuit that is physical away from your audio system. The farther the better and just a few feet matters. You can plug them into a common power strip. Just run a longer Ethernet cable to get to your upsampler.
Yes I have two Shibas: Haku and Hiro names from the Miyazaki “Spirted Away” movie.
The difficulty is SACD. Keeping a spinner that can do SACD and then also do a computer connection is problematic. Not that there aren’t many products that can’t do it, it’s more that I was looking for something...
Yes, I know there is always more. But I gave the easy big jump route. We use a NUC running Roon Rock. But a Pc Pavilion as a stand alone works and sounds great.
I agree with Kal. I am using a “touchscreen” HP Pavilion PC running Roon. Connect it via USB to the DAC. This gives you an inexpensive, all in one, music server with a touchscreen interface. And yes it sounds great.
Well the impedance curve is very tube friendly so a couple good quality watts should be plenty. I am still thinking about which 2A3 tube amp to try. Perhaps a Bottlehead, Whammerdyne, Triode Labs or Audionote kit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don’t like a “classic” tubby, tubey...
Ze’ev who is one of the owners of PAP came to visit our factory a few months back. Unfortunately, I was out of town at the time but Richard and Mino gave him a tour and then they all spent some time in the reference room listening to the Quintet. At this time we were using the Constellation...
Both the Devore, Vittora and the Harbeth for that matter, are very well worked out products that have been optimized by their respective designers. So they are in a different class than a kit speaker with many moving parts and options. So, the PAP needs to be tweaked out with work on the...
Several years ago I was looking for a great “low power” tube amp. I had heard the Ayon amps at many international shows and in every case they performed superbly. So I asked Gerhardt Hirt, owner of Ayon, this question: “If power level is not a consideration, which amp has the best purity of...
These are from the Pure Audio Project
These are easy to build open baffel kits
There are several models
This is the “Quintet” model which has quad 15” woofers and a Horn for the mid-tweet.
Very efficient and easy impedance.
Can be driven easily with a 300B 8 watts.
I plan to try bi-amp with...
I am just getting acquainted with it. You have to live with a speaker for quite some time to really understand it.
First impressions are very favorable. A very nice tonal balance, similar somewhat to the Harbeth which is one oof the best. Of course it is very dynamic and quick on transient...

It is a tough call. Both improve system performance in different ways.
You didn’t mention what power cords you were using? That could be your most cost effective upgrade.
Oh jeez. Playing music shouldn’t require a Phd in computer science.
Sometimes I get fed up with it and just put a CD in the player or drop a needle.
There is an opportunity for some entrepreneurial company to simplify all this nonsense.
Just to chime in on using low power tube amp with the 40.2; I was sceptical but hooked the Ayon Crossfire amp (30 watts SET).
It performs beautifully with deep and well control bass. We play it quite loudly in our fully treated reference room.
In a normal room it could play at more than...
