As far as I know, Shunyata is recommending the XC cables only for use with power conditioners, not upstream components. Maybe Galen or Richard will jump in on this one.
I emailed Richard at Shunyata about the new Alpha V2 speaker cables. He mentioned that they weren't available until August due to demand on the plant to produce the new V2 power cables. The new V2 speaker cables weren't on their website either.
For those of you that run Shunyata power in your rig, what iCs do you find gives the best results? I thought I heard on a previous post that some prefer MIT ICs. I've heard others recommend the Cardas Clear Rev1. I'm currently using Shunyata Alpha RCAs through-out with nice results. Thoughts...
Yes, I was aware. Like a lot of us, we receive the Shunyata announcement emails. Actually I was quite happy using the Alpha NR on the Triton. In the meantime, I'll notice quite a change hopefully with the Sigma NR.
I had originally purchased the optional SSF-50 feet for my Triton V1 when they became available years ago. When I upgraded the Triton V1 to the V3, the unit was shipped back with new feet. I called Richard Rogers at Shunyata who told me to use the new feet on the V3, and use the older SSF-50...
I'm currently running the SOtM dCBL-CAT7 Ethernet cable between an Innuos Zenith Mk2 streamer and a COAX-ethernet converter. I was using a SOtM ISO-CAT6 re-clocker in front of the ethernet cable, but I found in my system, there wasn't much of a difference. Apparently the Zenith 2 streamer has a...
I read in a recent interview with the Innuos designer that the Zenith Mk2 and Reference streamers are very sensitive to the power cord used. I would agree, noticing a nice improvement switching from a Delta NR to the Alpha NR on a Zenith Mk2. Also noticed a nice improvement doing the same switch...
I've just ordered a Sigma NR C19 to replace the Alpha NR on my Triton V3. I'm expecting to hear a significant audible improvement considering all my components are plugged into the Triton.
I have a running battle going between the SOtM dCBL- CAT7 Audiophile Ethernet Cable and the Shunyata Sigma ethernet cable. For those who think ethernet cables sound the same, I dare you to give this a demo.
I emailed Richard Rogers at Shunyata for the difference between the Triton V3 and the "Everest". This was his reply:
The new tower, Everest 8000T, will be the replacement for the Triton V3 even though it’s “technically” not a direct replacement due to it being a tower and the Triton is a shelf...
I sent an email to Richard Rogers at Shunyata regarding the differences between my Triton V3 and the newly released Sigma conditioner. His reply was:
"Big differences here. The new Performance series power distributors (Delta, Alpha and Sigma) are built from the tech and design of the original...
The Markets are responding to more than the media hype. Markets are responding mostly to supply chain issues out of China and the far east, and particularly Wuhan, China. The markets can see the empty cargo ships leaving from the west coast of the US to China and the far east, but are seeing far...
I've been seeing the new Sigma and Delta power conditioners on the market. The Sigma is listing new for around $5K. The Triton V1 was listing for $9k back in the day....How does the Sigma compare to the Triton V3s? I just had my V1 upgraded to the Triton V3 a few months ago. I wonder how much...
I've been a big fan of Shunyata for years. I'm currently running:
- Delta NRs to 50 watt Valvet monoblocks
- Alpha NRs to a Joule Electra LA-300 ME preamp
- Alpha NR to a Triton V3
- Alpha Digital PC to an Innuos Zenith streamer
- Sigma Digital PCs to both a Berkeley Alpha DAC and Berkeley...
Just a followup on the change from the SoTM dCBL - CAT7 ethernet cable to a Shunyata Research Sigma cable from the wall to a Innuous Zenith streamer. The change is remarkable. It's as if the background became blacker and instruments that were hardly noticeable become much more evident. It's as...
Just ordered the Shunyata Sigma Ethernet cable to run between SoTM reclocker and Innuos music server. I'd been using the SoTM ethernet cable but am trying to complete an entire SHunyata cable loom.
By itself, the Delta NR may not meet the same NR level as the Alpha NR, which has the CCI filter the Delta does not. But, if you've got the Delta NR plugged into a Triton V3, the difference in the two PCs is negligible in noise reduction I'm guessing. So unless you need the heavier AWG, the...
Those interested in a review of multiple "audiophile" ethernet cables might want to review Jay Luong's Audiobacon site for his somewhat recent review of cables:
https://audiobacon.net/category/cables/digital/
FWIW, I've been using the SOtM dCBL-CAT7 ethernet for months now into an Innuos...
I recently replaced the Shunyata Anaconda Etron PC running from a Furutech GTX-D power outlet to a Shunyata Hydra Triton V1 conditioner with an Alpha NR PC. Even though the Alpha NR was before the Triton, I noticed a significantly quieter and darker soundstage with punchier bass with the Alpha...
I see Shunyata has released the Venom Noise Reduction to join the Delta, Alpha and Sigma NRs.
The Venom NR comes in V12 and V10 models.
Has anyone had any experience with the new Venom NR Power cords versus the Delta NRs?
