    Coda no 16 amplifier

That's great, I would love to meet Bob. I just had Mark Schneider and the whole crew from Linear Tube Audio over for a listening session. They brought their new prototype 120 watt mono blocks and a prototype dac. All sounded fantastic. Mark is a good friend.

Yes, I love the Lumniscate cables and they are my last stop. I have stopped looking.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

That was a couple of years ago. I have sold the Coda #16 even though it was a fine amp. I have moved on to tubes again. I have heavily modded Altec 1570B mono blocks, based on Tom Tutays mods but taken a bit further by John Tucker of Exempler Audio. They are pretty much one of a kind.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

@yyzSB You use a good power cable and plug the #16 directly into the wall. A power conditioner I had resulted in lack of dynamics.

    DS Audio W3

I currently have the DS Grand Master cartridge. I traded up from the 003 to the W3 equalizer just recently and the extra $ was worth it. The sound stage has grown and the sound is smoother, more refined.

    Cerious Technologies Graphene Lumniscate Cable

I have Bob’s CT speaker cables and can compare them to the Morrow Elite, his top-of-the-line cable. The Cerious cable wins in all categories, soundstage, depth, detail and most of all transparency. I sold the Morrow cables.

    Cerious Technologies Graphene Lumniscate Cable

Bob Grost runs Cerious Tech and his pregnant daughter does his web site. I think she is a little behind on updating things. There is a however, a contact page. https://cerioustech.com/#contact My cables are still breaking in apparently because they keep sound better with time.

    Cerious Technologies Graphene Lumniscate Cable

I have been listening to my system through Bob Grost’s Cerious Technologies Matrix cables for the past 5 years and have been very happy, happy enough to have completely stopped shopping for cables, and I had been cable swapping for a number of years. I had tried silver cables in the past, and...

    Coda no 16 amplifier

I didn’t think I would part with it, but my new modded 1960’s Altec Lansing 1570B mono blocks are so damn good. I will sell the Coda 16. I will drive a couple of hours to meet someone but I do not want to ship this 110 lb. Beast. Lance

    Coda no 16 amplifier

I’m flirting with the idea of selling my Coda #16. Its The best SS amp I’ve ever owned but I have too many amps. I’m having John Tucker of Exempler Audio build me custom Altec Lansing 1570 resto-mod tube mono blocks. I already have spectacular sounding class D mono blocks from AGD, LTA ZOTL40...

    Coda no 16 amplifier

The 07x was a bargain and only had about 10 hours on it so it also has been breaking in. Once everything is well burned in I will rotate a couple of tube preamps in for a comparison. The 07x will be hard to beat though.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

Update on my Coda #16: In my last post I mentioned removing the power conditioner from the chain and the positive result from it. My electrician came last week and ran a dedicated power line from the panel to my listening room. I used GigaWatt LC-Y MK3+ 3X4 in wall cable and a Furutech GTX...

    Coda no 16 amplifier

The Coda #16 is sounding very good since removing the P15 and going straight to the wall outlet. Next week I am having installed a dedicated line from the panel to my listening room. This along with a nice Furutech outlet I expect will have a decent bump in sound quality. I will report back...

    Coda no 16 amplifier

I'm guessing a good power strip would be fine or at least not as restricting as my power regenerator. I can tell you that the Coda needs plenty of power to sound it's best and it does sound so very, very good. A decent power cord helps.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

Just an update, the No.16 was not sounding so good plugged into my P15 regenerator. I’m guessing just about any power conditioner would restrict dynamics but plugged into the wall with a good power cable makes a big difference. Next comes a dedicated power line.

    Coda no 16 amplifier

I think I’m just getting used to these new speakers. I did change some cables and I’m getting better sound now. The #16 is very good. Definitely not selling. Lance

    Coda no 16 amplifier

My Coda 16 played superbly with my TAD ME-1 stand mount speakers. Highly recommend. My problem now is that the Coda doesn’t seem to have the same synergy with my new GamuT RS5i speakers. The GamuT‘s definitely prefer tubes. I just bought the Coda and now I’m considering selling it. Does this...

    Considering Top Wing Blue Dragon

my dealer has a demo cartridge he will sell but it has a thousand hours on it. He says he was going for a retip but he was told they were good for three thousand hours. That does not sound right to me but does anyone here have experience with this cart?

Tube amps with TAD CR-1's ? Recommendations ?

I have the TAD ME1 and find they sound much better with solid state than with tubes. Much more dynamic and alive and I am fan of tubes.
